I don't get the logic on how Floyd never became undisputed 4 belt WW champion. He fought every single relevant WW of his era ducking none of them. He beat all of them so how could Canelo easily get 4 belts in a year? Same with Charlo and Taylor. Who was stopping Floyd from becoming undisputed?
Baldomir couldn’t pay the fees in 2006 to stop undisputed then and Brook was a relative unknown when Floyd unified 3 titles in 2015
Floyd was mostly a WBC fighter who was ordinarily considered the standout champion that everyone had to step to in the division. Not always, but ordinarily. So, he paid at least the sanctioning fee for almost exclusively one org and let the rest go. Everyone knew he was the man to beat wherever he fought regardless.
The only guy with a legit welter title that Floyd didn't fight was Antonio Margarito... And he had that belt for 2 fights, losing it in his first defense...so it's not like he was some long standing champion that Floyd refused to fight
Worried about his 0. There is no excuse. He was the biggest draw in the sport. He could fight anybody he wanted. Nobody was afraid to fight him he couldn't break an egg at 147.
It was never that important to him. He chose to fight and beat the best champion in the divisions that was available. He was unified several times but getting the opportunity to be undisputed is rare as the politics tend to get on the way.
