Back then people wanted him to face Maidana on here there was even a poll thread about it here. Maidana was seen as the more deserving and more dangerous fight. Most people here bashed the Khan fight because of his performance against Garcia and Diaz and you already know this. With that said I wanted him to fight Khan back then over Maidana.

Some of these same posters complaining in this thread wanted PBF to fight Maidana over Khan back then.

So he cherry picked a world champion with a good winning streak and coming off of a great win?? wouldnt Khan who hadnt fought in a year and was dropped by Julio Diaz had been the cherry pick?

If anything im a little surprised Floyd never took the Khan fight. He is a solid name in America so the money wouldnt of been bad. I put it down to Floyd teaching Amir a lesson for running his mouth so much over the last few years. If Khan had been a bit more respectul and tactful about calling Floyd out he may well of got that fight.

It wasnt a duck. In my opinion. Hell it still may happen.

Exactly! PBF can't win with that type of logic. Fight a guy on a hot streak coming off a good win and has a belt or fight a guy who's looked bad and got dropped in his last fight with no belt.

And Maidana showed that he was no joke in the fight anyways.

Wouldnt Khan had been a cherry pick?? 0 fights at the 147 limit, dropped in his last fight,ko'd 2 fights before that...Maidana was a world champion on a great winning streak and just took Broners title and his 0...ya'll are strange

It is certainly easier fight to take in terms of how the loss will look on your resume.
