Why was Fury so respectful to Whyte?

LOL at playing dumb. I already got banned once before for confirming same IP when you slipped up. It's not exactly difficult to use a VPN.

It's a bit weird that a middle-aged man has Povetkin as his hero. Surely a mother or father, or somebody like that would be more appropriate than some random Russian who punches people in a ring.

Anyway back to reality - Fury may have been respectful to whyte because there's not been enough back and forth between them to build up tension, and also Fury trolling whyte would probably only aid his cause, and Whyte's only chance to win this is by landing a brutal left hook.

Maybe keeping calm would help? I dunno.

I didn't get into boxing until about 2015 when I saw Fury beat Wlad. What I mean is he gained my respect vs AJ, and then against Hughie Fury, Hunter and then Whyte.

Don't take the word hero too seriously. I just really liked him as a fighter.

It’s a bit of an odd choice.. he barely speaks English so difficult to see how one could buy into him too much. Also, if you got into boxing from 2015 you’d have only really seen Povetkin on the wane.
