Wilder is not a very technical boxer. Due to his punching power, he stands a chance against any HW, but it's just a punchers chance.
If they were to fight, I see Foreman winning 7 or 8 out of 10.

Of course his jab improved over time. He was only 19 when he won Olympic gold. If you can watch the video I attached of his gold medal match in 68' and not be able to acknowledge that he ALWAYS had a world class jab then you are simply a person that can't admit when they are wrong. His jab was incredibly effective in the 68' games. Sure the guy was more slugger than boxer, he had game changing power. But he also had an excellent jab even at a very young age.

What? Again, I guess we just need to go our separate ways. I thought this was a boxing forum where people could discuss boxing. Not sure how you can say I am wrong when the video of him jabbing his way to Olympic gold exists. Either way, I am going to bed and will put you back on ignore since there is no point discussing this sport with you. You clearly have an agenda and really don't know the game. Not stalking you and can frankly give two shits about you but when you say things that are so completely over the top it's hard to not call you out.

This is the first time I've heard that Foreman didn't have good jab. You're the best Mr Al-Ghul! Don't forget to pick Choynski over Fitzsimmons at HW as the only poster in this forum ;)

Not sure why you think my membership should be taken away for disagreeing with you about George Foreman but knock yourself out. This is the last time I respond to you. You are on ignore. If you pull some strings and get me banned for disagreeing with you then this is not a forum I want to be on anyways.

George Foreman did have the size in his prime, his jab was straight, he then had that right hand that could rattle an opponent down to the bones, he had good leverage behind his blows. As he hurt his adversaries, he could push them off and unleash a whirlwind of blows that just about suffocated his opponent, leaving them unconscious.

Yes, except that Foreman was 48, near 49, for that last bout that he deserved the decision in.

Liston was born in the early 1930's-there really is no evidence he was older.
Consequently he was only approaching 40, not 50, when he sparred with Foreman.

I think, for the greatest punchers, the energy level required to throw such punches is extreme. That's why we see Shavers and early Foreman gas out. Throwing punches with maximally leveraged bodyweight is a mega drain on physical resources.

Though the 2nd incarnation of George tried to reign himself in far more than the first, watch when he threw caution to the wind vs. Alex Stewart. It was a move the 1st George would have made, as Joe Frazier would have called it "fighting foolishly". He ended up getting knocked around for too much of the rest of the fight.

Check out Shavers after throwing one of the greatest rights in heavy history: he was mostly toast after that round.

Just a theory, I could be wrong.
