Floyd was ridiculous at 130...I even remember Larry Merchant telling Floyd that Naseem's handlers wouldn't put him in with Floyd....NEWBIES THAT DONT KNOW-130LB FLOYD IS ALOT DIFFERENT THAN 147LB FLOYD...TRUST HE WOULD FIGHT ANY 1 AT 130

Jesus. Hamed was a ****, let's get that out of the way.

He was also 5'3", and really, 126 was too high a weight for him really.

Why isn't Floyd calling out Middleweight champs? The size difference from Hamed to Mayweather and Mayweather to Middleweights is the same. Floyd's fought at super welter, so why not one more?

    Bredhal could not hurt him
    Zaragoza could not hurt him
Erik Morales could not hurt him
Scott Harrison could not hurt him

SImply put, McColough was one of the most unknockoutable fighters in his prime and there is aabsolutely no shame in not being able to hurt him.

And yes, my diminishing Hamed for not hurting McColough (while claiming to be an expert on the Pocket Rocket, nonetheless) you did destroy your credibility.

Mayweather would have been huge next to him. The Prince was a never a big featherweight in the first place.

It's the same reason why Floyd won't entertain the idea of fighting Paul Williams

Hamed retired after May 18, 2002 after the Calvo fight at 126 lbs.

Floyd started fighting at 130 in 1996 and moved up to 135 in 2002 to fight Castillo.

Was there any attempt to make this fight? How can you say Hamed was so scared to fight Floyd??? :think

Are you ****ing kidding me? Everyone knew who Mayweather was long before he fought Chico and they knew what he could do. At 130 was a mother****ing BEAST, he would have destroyed Hamed in any way he desired.

2 forays into 130 were discussed for Hamed: Nelson and Mayweather, to which Hamed said "Haven't I gone up enough?"

It was discussed but never got into a serious negotiation session.

Oh . . . okay. Therefore people cannot claim Hamed is scared of Floyd because he speficifically doesn't want to go up to 130 to fight anybody (Nelson or Floyd).

No.Unfortunately, you're the one that has lost the credibility because you can't even write down what I said even though it's just on the previous page.I NEVER CLAIMED TO BE AN EXPERT ON THE POCKET ROCKET despite your having written that. What I wrote was that McCullough is from the same Province as not only my father but my wife, too and I have a lot of respect for him because of his toughness and tenacity. That's what I wrote. It's unfortunate that you can't get it right.Goodbye credibilty for you.Now here are the facts.hamed's supporters claim not only is he a great FEATHERWEIGHT,but he is ONE OF THE HARDEST PUNCHING FEATHERWEIGHTS EVER.That's what hamed's supporters routinely claim. We all know hamed started at bantam, but it was obvious that he filled out,not ate his way,to featherweight.Ok,first off Wayne was a bantamweight.Secondly,of the 4 names you mentioned, not one of them has hamed's reputation for his power while Harrison- a tough fighter,is the only featherweight on your list. When he fought Bredahl,it was at bantamweight. When he fought Morales and Zaragoza,it was at superbantamweight. When he fought hamed,it was at featherweight. That's significant because watching the fight, you could easily see that hamed had a larger body mass-especially in the thighs department(quite possibly where he generated his power from),the third largest body part of hamed's after his mouth and ears.Did Wayne have a fantastic chin?Of course he did.But the reality is hamed was the one with the massive rep for power at featherweight and he couldn't put a dent in the chin of someone significantly smaller.

Nah,the Yanks couldn't take the fact that he was a total classless jackass. And,no he wasn't elite either because the first time he fought someone elite,he got beaten up.
