Why was Joshua's team hesitant to make the Martin fight?

"I’ve never met the kid, I’ve no bad blood towards him, it’s the sport of boxing. Right now I only see it being Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and two of them have mandatory fights so I want to fight Joshua. They wanted to do an eliminator with Carlos Takam but why doesn’t he just fight me? I’m giving him a title shot right now. I’m not being the bad guy, I’m giving him a title shot.” - Prince Charles Martin

Anyone remember what was the delay?

Y'all reckon that's just a thing folks do to AJ. Call him out then immediately talk about how his team is difficult to work with and wants to go in another direction, then they fight and everyone forgets about it?

Delayed Martin, delayed Parker, but hey, that Wlad fight was easy to put together, and they've clearly had good relations with Takam since before AJ even had a belt so that's something.

Delayed Parker? Parker was the one who walked away to go after the WBO title.
And then Parker had the bad fortune of having Hughie Fury as his mandatory. That fight took 9 months to materialize.

And the Joshua - Martin fight took place 3 months after Martin had won the IBF title. Maybe Joshua´s team were a bit worried due to how though the Whyte fight was, and Joshua only having 15 fights under his belt. But by no means was there any delay there either.

Pick a different word for what?
Your whole point is non existent.

Like i said, maybe Joshua´s team was a bit hesitant to rush him after he just had a though fight. Maybe. But they rushed him anyways.

I clearly used delay and hesitant interchangeably so I'm not sure you got my point.

What's with the talking to the media about have difficulty working out fights with AJ?

Martin is a disgrace, he should never have been in the ring with Joshua!

    Who has had difficulties?
Every fight got made in an instant.
Maybe Joshua's team have certain demands but then again, they are the money machine.

Who has even complained? That delusional **** Martin?

It was a big step up at the time, Joshua was a novice at the time. Martin wasn't even the issue as all but a few haters believed Joshua would crush Martin with ease, it's what winning a title would mean. Once Joshua had the belt all his following fights would need to be at a certain level and in all honesty nobody knew if he was ready hence why they wanted to fight Takam as an eliminator before.

Making the deal with Haymon for the Martin fight too would of been an issue. Haymon wanted Martin to unify with Wilder and was putting pressure for that to happen rather than the Joshua fight but the sanctioning bodies ruled against it. Then when making Joshua/Martin Haymon squeezed a lot out of Hearn, they paid Martin a crazy amount of money, Martin was making what Wlad was making for a first defence. Plus Haymon got options on Joshua's next 2 fights ensuring Joshua had to defend against 2 Haymon fighters first.

Thanks bud. So you reckon whatever struggles goes on they're more or less genuine and not something that just part of the Joshua show? You reckon the percentage arguments between Hearn and Higgins were genuine too?

The others seem to get hung up on words and have nothing other than "but da fights happened doe" to say. I'm not trying to detract from anyone, I dunno why they're acting like girls about it. I'm just curious how genuine y'all take these bumps in the road.

 Yer right I just dreamed it up. AJ's opponents never call him a scared little ***** before they sign the fight. Nevermind what Martin had to say, he's a loser. Who cares what Parker had to say, he's from the commonwealth.

If y'all are too feminine to talk about yer favorite hulk being consistently called out for being scared to make a fight the **** are you doing in my thread?

Give me an explanation or shut the **** up. I'm not even asking for a good one I'm just asking for any.

Also, I can't talk about Daniel ****in' Mendoza without being warned it'll lead to a ban but these ****s who clearly have nothing boxing relative to say are allowed to turn every ****in' conversation into a platform for their bull**** agenda that always without fail reverts to personal attacks against both fellow posters and the boxers we honor.

If you're gonna be a mongrel on a boxing site it should at least demand you be a mongrel within boxing theme. This one doesn't give a ****. Say whatever you like just don't call anyone racist. Don't even post about a man who made money off racism because the transitive factor will twist mod pussies until they're dried, cracked, and uncomfortable.

Eddie Hearn paid the God-like earth walker between £2-3m for the fight. Some hesitation...

    Jesus ****ing christ!
Whats the point of this thread?
Of course there are going to be bumps in the negotiations. Titles are on the line as are millions of euros/pounds/dollars....
Joshua is making the fights. The notion that he is scared to make them, where is it coming from?

Fights are being made, whats the problem?
