If Lucas Matthysse is THAT good, he should have blown away a fighter of an aging Zab Judah's calibre, like Amir Khan did to him in 5 rounds.

    So what ?
Garcia won a split decision against Kendall Holt yet stopped Khan in 4.

Zab Judah is a ring veteran, and fought scared in the Matthysse fight.

He knew Lucas was a hard puncher.

Lucas took his foot of the gas in the last 2 rounds, thinking he had done enough after dropping Judah in the 10th (wich should have been right).
He forgot that he was in the US, and that they gave Judah every even remotely close round.

Lucas clearly and widely won that fight. He was robbed by the judges, that´s all.

Zab was defensive/negative, and Matthysse -- not accustomed to chasing slick guys like that -- took his foot off the gas.

Why did you create the exact same thread within a day again?

Lack of experience on Lucas' part. That and Judah has always done better against guys like Lucas than guys like Khan. And even Lucas admitted after the fight that Judah had hit hard enough to earn his respect, particularly with the left uppercut.

Is Zab Judah of all a sudden a bum? Hes a very good fighter just falls shall at top elite level. Matthysse is good but hes around that level aswell.

Matthysse was inexperienced at world level and is a much better fighter now. He's no longer a slow started either. Besides that, he still clearly won the fight.

It was Matthysees first real step up after making the trek from Argentina. He should have won imo but it was a closish fight. Most boxers get troubled at some point on their way up and Zabs cagey style in this fight plus his experience of boxing at a far higher level gave Matthysee some problems.

people are happy to make a meal out of this but forget guys like Khan had problems with willie Limond or Broner should have lost to Fernando Quintero or Cassius clay was fortunate against Doug Jones, the list goes on.

Thanks for the responses. I will give Lucas the benefit of the doubt. I am not high on Zab at all, so I was a bit flustered by this loss. Especially since many here are claiming Lucas is one of the best in boxing.
