He loss to Marquez. So what? Marquez whoops all his opponent except Floyd. In their last fight it was a WAR. People just remember the KO. But Pacquiao went to war with probably the most dangerous counterer in boxing and paid the price. Look at Marquez nose.

Floyd running from Marquez etc was a joke .

Since when does having a war make you unworthy?

In that case let's scrap Cotto, De La Hoya, Castillo, Corrales, Hatton and Mosley.

Oh whoops there go Floyd's top wins. I guess he's good but over-hyped.

Face it, there's not much separating their resumes, especially when Pac has a better single win than any of Floyd's, so when you **** on Pac, think of how you're making Floyd look.

Barerra was expected to beat manny. If you followed manny but then you would know the press an people in boxing didnt think hed do as well as he did. He cut through barerra easy. He is a former flyweight ffs. Top to bottom he has better wins than floyd. Floyd had handled his opposition easier. Two different type of fighters.

    Larry, Floyd retired, officially.

Whether or not he's still the better fighter, he shouldn't be anywhere near any ranking.

And during that time a lot of people consider Pacquiao as number one so he is.

It's as cut and dry as you can get.

Why would you dispute that period? Unless you want to create a separate argument that he shouldn't be number one and someone else needs to be there which is a story for another day.

Floyd is one of the fighters i looked up to when I was a kid boxing. I had his newspaper clippings on my wall. I love floyd but i dont know. As it is now i think manny starting that low in weight in moving is is outright crazy. He had a few catch weights but so what. depends what you like. Floys record is cleaner. Manny got more names. Then again i hold james toney in higher regard than a bhop. Because he moved u crazy weight even if his run wasnt that pretty at heavy. All my opinion
