Marciano should have demanded a football field sized ring to prove his foot work was no joke.

Simple. Because he had the mafia behind him.

Marciano's management demanded and got one for his fight with C*ckell, John Simpson ,C*ckell's manager threatened to pull him out of the fight at one stage.
My point is simply, if his footwork was so good ,why would he need a small ring?
It seems an entirely reasonable question to me.

You should make a thread worth reading to prove the same.

He's a pressure fighter. A smaller ring is better for him.

    Yes it is.

Quite simply as a champion he wants and should get every advantage.

It would not be physically possible for Walcott to have been in his prime physical condition. You can never, ever, be prime physically when you're pushing 40. No way, no how, it goes against everything we know about the human body.

Size is always something that is brought up when talking about Marciano but he beat the best men coming up, ruining some of them-Rex Layne was one who was highly regarded getting off the floor to beat Satterfield. Marciano devastated Layne and ruined him with one brutal punch, same with Walcott. People pick hairs looking for weak moments, sickness and close fights to point in the opposite direction of true greatness but its reaching. I think many of the things that were mentioned as positives are true but Marciano's will to win stands out, he never thought anyone could or would beat him, he could punch with both hands, took a hell-of-a punch, excellent stamina and late power, very intelligent and unorthodox. He never quit in the ring like many of the monsters that are mentioned in awe on ESB and he was never KO'd like many of the giants. Sharp-shooters and pinpoint punchers gunned for him and bangers like Walcott,Moore,Layne and even Charles was fresh of 2 explosive KO's

Marciano ducked no one, fought his # 1 guy 5 out of 6 fights, unheard of

I would say out of his many strengths the will to win was the cherry on top of his many gifts, he simply feared no man and did not believe he could lose to a human

It's not as though stuff like that is out of the norm, a fighters team will try and get all the advantages they can for their man.

But it's possible to be a better fighter though isn't it, experience does count in this game.

Not out of the norm, but a fact just the same.

A smaller ring is better for him because he wants to corner his opponent? I agree ,but you asked a question and I answered it.

Here's another question for you .Do you believe Marciano had good foot work?

I ask this because Charley Goldman said he had two left feet.

That your posts aren't a joke.
If it was midnight and I said it was dark ,you would disagree,it's inevitable,,predictable and churlishly childish , but that's fine, it obviously gratifies you.Bless.
