I don't understand. Floyd fought the welterweight edition, and manny is going to do that too.

    Discuss.:huh

pretty good question...but imma give you the answer that willbe thrown out.

JMM made weight wrong for Floyd and Floyd is bigger than Pac....so JMM don't have to worry about the weight.....:hat

I dont wanna say far superior, styles makes fights and Marquez is the 2nd best counterpuncher in the sport. not good for Pac. thats why Pac doesnt have a great shot against Mayweather because hes the best counterpuncher in the sport

    Marquez is'nt tuneup for anyone.

.....but we all knew that because Mayweather had every physical advantage plus a boxing IQ to match Marquez that Pacquiao did'nt, it was going to be nearly impossible for Marquez to pull it off.

The slim chance Marquez had to stay competitive with Mayweather went out the window when Mayweather refused to even attempt to make weight.

.....so even though age is a factor, at least we know that Pacquiao is not going to have the height, reach, and a monumental weight advantage to go with it against Marquez.
Add to that, that Marquez' ring IQ is far superior to Pacquiao's, and we have a situation where there are at least a fair share of boxing people that give Marquez a chance vs Pacquiao that did'nt vs Mayweather.

I'd say if you consider/ed JMM a tuneup for Mayweather you are an idiot.

have you seen the odds on Pacquiao - Marquez? You say it's not a tuneup but noone will give Pac credit if he destroys MArquez.

Bump this thread after the fight.

Everybody here except the pac haters are picking pacquaio to kill marquez in november. Only reason they ain't calling this fight a tune up is cuz of their history.

Pac is the favorite to win:deal

Pacquiao has been fighting more regularly and is already tuned up.
