Why Was Mayweather Weighing Two Pounds Heavier Than JMM A Big Deal

Pleas, Floyd looks smaller here then when he fought Oscar at 154.. Anyone that follows the fight game know Floyd , like Marvin Hagler never allows his weight to flux more then 5 to 10 pound between fights and has never weighed more then 2 to 3 pound when stepping in the ring come fight time .. Officially and un officially .. If so much in to body building then you know that looking heavy does not always translate to the scale. Floyd is not a big person by any means, but he hold his weight well.

In Any case it would not have mattered if Floyd weighed 5 pound less then marquez the out come would have been the same. Floyd is a Skill and Finesse fighter , he not a fighter that uses size and strength in the ring .. Size only become an issue when its the fighter opposing floyd is bigger.. Had Marquez been the bigger fighter this would not have been an issue. It funny how no one mention that most of the fighter floyd face like Castillio, hatton, Gatti , and Corrales etc all have out weighed floyd buy as much and 15 lb, but as soon as floyd comes to pound over the contract limit still bellow the welter wight limit its an issue?

Difference is Cotto actually did come down two lbs. And there was 4lbs between Floyd and Marquez at the weigh in and Marquez wasn't going to gain weight at fight time so Floyd was obviously heavier at fight time.

Pacquiao asked Cotto to come down 2 lbs for a reason. Either come down or no fight. Cotto negotiated with Pacquiao for a fight at 145 because Pacquiao was the draw. Cotto wanted the pay day.
