you're asking why people thinks floyd didn't tried to make the weight?

because he didn't make the ****ing weight and was off by 2 pounds. if he tried making it, he would be off by just several ounce or the most would be around 1 pound. there is really no sign what so ever that floyd has took a run, a sauna or even request for a time to sweat it out.

are you seriously trying to debate that floyd tried to make the weight? :rofl this is like you saying floyd has the better chin than margarito.

What kind of question is this? Of course he should be criticized. 144 is the agreed weight and he weighed in over 2 lbs. Whether he worked hard or not, that's not the point, the point is his efforts were NOT enough. He can't just toss a couple of thousand dollars and come in at whatever weight he wants. What kind of logic do you wanna hear? Isn't that enough logic for you fanboy?

floyd fans always use this to excuse floyd coming in over and by saying he fought a fight that does not affect the fight. it will greatly affect a fight when a naturally bigger fighter just comes much bigger in fight night. his punch resistance would be much greater compared to the naturally smaller man while the smaller man would feel the effect of the bigger man much greatlt. you don't need to bully or be overtly physical to see the effect of size difference.

also jmm has mentioned after the fight that he felt that "floyd has like 20 pounds of advantage over him come fight night". did you miss that?

So Mayweather weighed 167 *******? :rofl

Marquez said after the fight that Floyd was "weaker" then he thought. But faster then he thought.

Tell me how does more weight give you more speed and less power *******?

wow the next joyboy to defend floyd is MW.

i didn't say that. i was pointing out to a mistake by someone who said that jmm didn't mention anything about floyd's weight. jmm was quoted to say that. and "feel" doesn't equate to floyd's real weight come fight night. jmm just "felt" that floyd has aorund "20 pounds" of weight on him. from my estimate floyd was not less than 154 that night. jmm admitted that he was 148 on fight night.

Given that Floyd fought 99% of the fight on the outside, with there being few clinches, how would JMM feel anything about Floyds weight?

WTH? Making your weight or size as an advantage is not just about overpowering your opponent. Look at Wlad for example.

jmm has fought guys like pacquiao, casamayor, diaz who are weighing around 140-145 range come fight night. he feels the these guys punches and their punch resistance compared to him. these guys would feel jmm's punches when he connects. during the floyd fight, when jmm connects, floyd just brushed it off like a typical big man getting a punch from a naturally smaller man. also during exchanges, there are times that they would bump into each other and jmm would certainly feel how "large" floyd is compared to his former opponents at 130 and 135.

so are you saying jmm is lying when he said that he feels "floyd has 20 pounds of weight on him"?

floyd won't let HBO take his fight night weight. it would be natural for people to estimate him. actually i made a thread back in 2009 asking what they think floyd's fight night in the jmm fight. the top vote getter is the 154-157 pounds option.

Wlad is tall. Nothing to do with weight. Usually 4-5 inches on his op. Mayweather is 2 inches taller then Marquez.

Why didn't Floyd try to make 144 in your opinion?
