Why was McCallum stripped of his WBA belt?

    Before his first fight with Toney?...I think it was the sanctioning fees of the WBA and they wanted McCallum to fight Steve Collins again...Arum wanted the Toney/McCallum fight.

    If I recall, it was because Mike had these outrageous demands of unification at the time...

    If memory serves, McCallum beat Collins already, and Collins worked his way back to number 2 I believe, and wanted a rematch, but McCallum wanted Toney, and when McCallum refused to fight Collins, Collins and Johnson fought for the vacant title.
