Yup even though the butt was clearly intentional I beleive Ortiz when that happend got a bit over excited that he was getting work in on Floyd and when Floyd started to do his chicken roll and put his arms around Ortizs neck Ortiz head butted him out of frustration But truely felt sorry, and wanted to make it clear not only to Floyd but the ringside officials and the fans who paid to see a good fight, Floyd took that opportunity to find himself a way out of the fight, and I beleive Floyd himself did not think what he did was legal he just did what he did and left the result or the outcome to the officials. The ref never instructed the fighters to box, meaning no punches should have been thrown at the time... the next couple days are going to be interesting regarding this fight
Cortez says something like lets go telling the fighters to fight, it's after that the punches are landed, but at this point cortez is looking somewhere else.
I think he did that cuz he genuinely admires Floyd and didn't want to hurt him in any way . . . which makes for a bad boxing match. I sincerely believe that if Floyd said, "Victor, I like you, kid. I want to train you to be the best in the world" then Victor would immediately sever ties with his trainer and tell all his friends via twitter.
I don't know about that. THat gives FLoyd a modicum of legitimacy in the eyes of some. "I was only dirty because he was first." Everything was scripted. Three actors played their part well. "High Five"
Here's a better question. Why did Ortiz look away and extend his arms while walking toward Floyd for 3-5 seconds to hug? All after kissing and tapping gloves already? Then when getting clocked, why does Ortiz not even react... not even try to protect himself? Why did it look like he could get up but didn't. He quit, it was staged, or he was the biggest idiot ever. Those are the only 3 likely, logical scenarios as far as I'm concerned.
In my opinion Ortiz quit. People harp on like Floyd had anything to do with the messy endig. It was ****ing Ortiz who was clowning around instead of fighting.
If he felt sorry he would not of intentionally tried to butt floyd 3 times in that round. Just sayin..
