Why was OSDT ever brought up in Pac vs Mayweather?

to the rabid joyboys, do you honestly think floyd has been straight up with everything in the first place? first off, they went straight to the media accusing pac of drug use without any evidence whatsoever for the purpose of discrediting pac. it may have well been an opinion but only bitches go about running their dirty mouth about others. instead of just going straight up to pac's face that he wants the fight but only with full osdt, he chose to drag pac's name and mock him in public. what kind of respectable person does this?

I think you're missing the point. Drug testing first and foremost is meant to protect the fighter who is clean from taking unfair damage from a fighter who isn't, and then protect records from being tarnished from opponents who cheat.

Doesn't make sense to let boxers fight first, risking their health and confidence built on years of hard work, only to lose unfairly, then have the decision reversed and expect everything to be just how it was before. Changing a "1" back to an "0" doesn't heal bones, repair brain damage, or reset confidence.

Think about it, PEDs and glove testing have the same principle: gloves should always be checked before the fight as well as after, as once the damage has been done, changing a record doesn't fix their health. All it can take is one fight to mess up a career and potentially a life - just ask Billy Collin Jr's family.

 

People keep saying the drug testing is an excuse not to fight. My one question is since when has a drug test been used as a scare tactic that makes people cower in fear?

Nobody, not the media, the general public (us), or even Floyd himself knew this drug testing thing was gonna become such a HUGE "thing" in the first place. I've never seen anybody use random drug testing as a means to keep people from doing something except "the use drugs" or "spread disease". Since when is it "SCARY" or a tactic to scare someone LOL?

The only people who usually cringe at these type of test are mostly people with something to hide. I'm not saying Pacquiao is on something (though it is HIGHLY SUSPECT!) I'm just saying we don't know. None of us know. Not you, not you, and not you. And the only way to know for sure that any and everybody IS clean is to implement this test.

Floyd don't need pac right now. Pac is fighting a guy floyd already beat the **** out of.

Floyd has a lot of options, martinez, berto, bradley v alexander, all these fights will do over a million buys and keep floyd name in the spot light.

This is a history lesson, and one that the Mayweathers knew all about.

Pacman's management overlooked a test that he had to take in the lead up to fighting Morales. Just before the fight, he had to give a blood test for the fight to proceed.
Pac struggled in the fight, and said he was weakened by the blood being taken. Was he serious about that? Yes, it was part of a lawsuit he brought against his management.
He actually sued someone for making him take a bloodtest just before a fight and (in his mind) ****ing him up a bit.

Now it doesn't matter who else believes that taking blood before a fight is bad for you. It matters that Pac really believes it.

So, if you are a Mayweather, and want to throw a spanner in the works, what do you do?

"Hey Pac, you know that blood test that you had to do that messed you up? We demand that you do the same thing again before the biggest fight of your life."

The problem is that people forget the lessons of history and just buy into stupid **** despite being ignorant.
