Damn he wants to be Mayweather real bad. All he did was back up and try to counter all night. This dude Malinaggi has never been a great fighter, and Hatton didnt do anything impressive tonight. He fought Malinaggis the same way he fights every fighter, I mean of course he will walk through the punches of a fighter with only 5 ko's. DUH!...

Hatton isnt back.....Hatton is still Hatton:lol:

He gave the number 1 contender a schooling like it or not. Hatton always eats shots its the way he fights and always has. Same old Hatton? He's linear champ at 140, must be gutting being a boxer of his caliber.

    And also Day late.

It wasn't the check hook. It was a left hook, but not the check hook. But no hook by Paulie was gonna hurt Hatton.

You say that Hatton using his usual style like its a bad thing. It was made for this type of fight and he used it effectivly, he lost his jab a few times throughout the fight. But based off his last few performances I think it's a step in the right direction, he couldn't do much more than he did. He utilizes his strenghs well and limitations as a boxer.

Hatton got hit a lot less than he usually does, against what people were saying is a very good pure boxer. So he did well did he not? .. nah don't give him credit you don't have to.

Hol' up, Paulie has a hook? I thought he just had different variations of jabs. Like Street Fighter ****. I thought all he came equipped with was a regular jab, a strong jab, and a FIERCE jab for when he really wants to stop an opponent dead in his tracks.

Ricky tries to come in with that left hook and leaves himself open. Mayweather landed that left hook numerous times, and Lazcano hurt him with it.

It would seem to be a good weapon to use the "check hook" and catch him with it, then since you've slid out, he's near the ropes and then you can attack.

It's what Mayweather did in the 8th round to Hatton.

He only landed 91 punches, 66 of which were jabs, about 64 of those very light jabs. He only landed an average of 2.5 non jab punches a round.

So really he didn't hit him enough, not nearly enough, and damn well nowhere near hard enough.

    He was totally outclassed.
