I`m pretty sure the O2 arena would have sold out quickly for Haye v Vlad as would Stamford Bridge.

The problem Haye had is that Vlad wants every advantage for this fight and wouldn`t fight in the UK.

its probabily a combinations of things all coming together, but whatever those things are everyone has to agree hatton was a phenomenon in that he never even appeared on terestrial tv, considering that its quiet sensational the profile and fellowing he got

Me and a few of my mates began to like hatton because he was always on Sky thats when i started watching boxing. I think a lot of Hatton fans are the ones who seen him on Sky up until his Kostya Tszyu fight. He was the best coming out of the UK at the time as well. Would David Haye have as much fans if he fought 38 times on Sky before going box office? would Froch? In my opinion of course they would.

I suppose it is just a personal thing

what hatton stands for I cannot relate to

I dont think his crass chav nature is a likeable - maybe to those who are as common as muck

but I dont think shaving someones pubes off when they are drunk sleeping is funny

I bet Hatton loves that kind of thing

But it was a football following more than a boxing following.

Ricky Hatton was the first thing the Man City fans had to shout about in 40 odd years.

It's a shame Haye wasn't as confident as you, because K2 promotions seemed very keen on holding in in an English football stadium.

He would have sold out the O2 for a heavyweight title fight, which is a capacity of 20k, keeping in mind he struggled to sell it out against Maccarinelli.

Unfortunately Stamford Bridge has a capacity of 42,000. That is another 22,000 people to find on the back of it being for a version of the heavyweight title against Wlad Klitschko, who nobody knows. Those sort of numbers are hoping on a wing and a prayer and Haye knew it.

K2 has now stumped up for Schalke's stadium which is looking very smart now. He'll get the entire gate as he took the liability.

  11. Made alot of money it seems

The guy is a Multi millionaire and lives in a modest detached house with his wife and little boy he adores, just up the road from his mum and dad.............why does he get so much stick.

He is just a normal working class bloke who did well REALLY well !!!

so what if he plays the "For the fans" line WHO CARES !! every sportsman does it, do you really think Ronaldo turns up to Old Trafford every week for the love of the fans ??? of course he doesn't

At the end of the day he has done well, he looks after his family and friends, and is a down to earth bloke, we all have our faults.... but who are we to judge anyone on a two bit Boxing forum and think it really matters

or flashing your bum at photogrpahers

you know them people that go out drinking on nights out

    on stag do's

or just on big nights out

one of the lads - grown men

and they dressed in fancy dress -

like a big baby with a dummy

or dressed up as a woman

or a caveman with a flintsone bat

    etc

all the lads dress up for a good laugh

thats probaly Ricky Hattons cup of tea

I cannot do that :-( - I take myself way to serious to be a dressed like that

    my ego wont allow it

it just a clash of different kinds of people

It's a shame he couldn't spend some of the money he saved on a Detatched house to pay members of his staff.

It's a shame he couldn't look after members of his staff that were supposed to be friends, and like family, in his words.

Probably an admin error as I heard earlier. :tired

  15. Life is too short to take yourself to seriously and worry what other people think of you...... I pity people like that
