Roy was, just wasn't on Oscar's level. I remember Oscar saying he made more money and got more PPViews for a warmup fight then Roy did for his mega-fights. This was of course in retaliation from something Roy said about Oscar.

Funny you say that. Lewis is from Canada (moved there when he was 12) and must have been home visiting family (they live around the Toronto area) and I walked right by him in Sears in Sherway Gardens mall. He was with a friend and remember maneuvering myself around these 2 big guys coming at me. I looked him right in the eye and was like holy ****, that's Lennox! He was tall with an ice cold look, but wasn't tryin to eye me up or anything. Very intimidating dude though.

    This.

He could've been noticeably more popular if he took more chances ala SRL. He didn't have a fan friendly style.

What year would have been best for Roy to fight Calzaghe at super middle in your opinion?

like it or not Felix "Tito" Trinidad " (in his prime) would of beat him senseless (I could already hear the Roy fans) but is true...Roy didn't want to fight him till the end of Trinidas career...Tito fought bigger names than Jones...
hmmmm sounds like this boxer I know...oh yeah Floyd, but that's another topic.

I'll say it again Felix "Tito" Trinidad would of beat Roy Jones jr. senseless if Roy would of fought Tito at his prime

Throughout much of the history of boxing there has only been room for 1 true superstar in the mold of Ali, Leonard, Tyson, DLH. It's hard to say Jones could've been that guy especially with Tyson and DLH but he certainly didn't help himself.

It's hard to argue that he could've done more when he got inside the ring(except maybe more KOs) especially when his best win(Toney) came when Tyson was in jail.

    :deal

When there is a legit Heavyweight division or superstar HW, it runs roughshod over the entire sport. Even to the point where fighters such as Carlos Monzon, Roberto Duran, Jose Napoles and Alexis Arguello are in it's shadow.

Non-Heavyweights werent even getting paid until SRL came into the fold. That's about a century's worth of domination over the game... Revived by prime Tyson and carried out through most of the 1990s.
