Why was the Golovkin fight in Monaco?

Where all the rich come to play, lots of money. Golovkin fought Ishida there last year on PPV................the fight was shown in over 100 countries, US the only one not to show it..............

The US was the only country in the world not to show the fight..............

 

i think they/k2 have a contract for him to fight to fight there at least 1x a year.

The Principality of Monaco is a Tax haven. There is NO INCOME TAX. Therefore it attracts the worlds wealthy that like to duck paying they're taxes. Plus its nice and sunny.

My guess, the main reason was cash, money, money, CASH and lots of it.

Now the European (An Kazach) fans could see him without staying up all night.
But the fight was rather early. I was at a soccer game and came home at 10:15 CET, by then the fight was already over.

 

HBO wasn't offering a date 'til April and they wanted to keep him busy, enhance his reputation as an international fighter, Oh...and make lots of money.

 

Third world country? That's where I'll laugh, either some of the Yanks on here are incredibly thick and are confusing Monaco with somewhere else that isn't a rich principality tax haven in EUROPE (its literally within France) or these are some incredibly poor jokes.

 

It a principality within France, hence why Monaco play football withing the French league, its most certainly a lot closer to France than it is Africa, as was suggested in the post I quoted, who I think was confusing it with Morocco.
