agreed, aside from both being P4P Top 10, these are (as far as i am aware) the first and second most accomplished amateur fighters in history (not sure who is first and who is second though): four olympic gold medals and four world championship gold medals between them.

10 pounds is significant at such a light weight class. They are probably avoiding the face off as long as possible, because many are already criticizing the size disparity.

If they have a press conference like they usually do for such a high profile fight, when it's announced, then you have to have a face off as well. Can't sell the fight as well if everyone sees that Lomachenko is not only heavier, but also three or four inches taller. Rigondeaux was about three inches shorter than Agbeko and Donaire. Lomachenko looked like he may have been a tad taller than Walters. Walters was taller than Donaire. I'm curious to see how much taller Loma is when they finally face off. If they don't face off till the weigh in, don't be surprised if they have Loma keep his shoes off for the stare down.

 

Fight should happen, Rigondeaux wants it. It's a shame certain factors are being hidden though, seemingly to cushion Lomachenko from ridicule.
