Here, one last chance - those three analogies were used to show there is definitely a difference between their ages. The first here -

1. the analogy that there is a difference between someone, say, 30 and someone say 40. I would draws your attention to the word -

"SAY"

It wont make it anything less than what it is if you keep repeating your obstinance that the obvious analogy (made obvious by the way "say" is in the sentence) isnt an analogy. But you can try shouting as hard as you can to change the english language, be my guest.
