Why wasn't the ARGUEABLE best fighter in the super middleweight Lucian Bute not in S6

    Some think that Lucian Bute could be the best super middleweight. I do but he can't proof that since he wasn't in Super 6. Why wasn't he in Super 6?

    When Ken Hershman (Showtime sports boss) put the tournament together, he said that he wanted to work with promoters that he was most familiar with. That was his main argument. He basically never extended any offer to Bute's people...never got in touch with them.

    When Taylor dropped out, they gave Dibella a chance to bring in another one of his fighters in the S6. Hershman sticked with the promoters already involved.

    Getting Bute on board afterwards for a 3 fight deal, is trying to repair to mistake he made from the start...

    basically bute dodged, and decided to go for the cherry picking route. Its not very often you get a boxer coming out of Canada. They don't want to mess this one up till he's cashed out.
