Why wasn't Winky Wright able to capitalize on Williams horrible defense

So?, that just proves he's active in the ring and that's what matters.

If you think one punch is going to end it for Pavlik then you're in for a surprise and a new list of excuses that still include the "swine flu" and "Plans D, E, F and Z" not being implemented as planned.

 

Wright is a fighter that waits for the fighter to tire out or take a break after an assault then goes after him. Paul Williams never stopped for Wright to capitalize on, also Wright didnt have the speed nor power to gain Williams respect there was no way he had a chance.

one punch has never ended it for pav. you are right to say one punch will not end it. but if you think that pw will take a flush right and shake it off a la adamek when cunningham stepped in a bucket and swung for the fences and landed, then you're in for a surprise.

there is a huge difference between having a rico spadofora glass jaw and a wwm hypothetical atg chin. the answer is probably somewhere in the middle more towards reality. pw has a good chin. but getting hit with 50 rights to the face is going to make him think twice about exposing himself to any more of them. and since he exposes himself when he throw his bunches, he's gonna half to think twice about doing that...and if he has to think twice about doing that...you get the point.

you have made some very good posts/analyses about this fight already so i can't really say anything that you, as a real fight fan, already don't know. this is bigger than pac/cotto...biased fan's point of view...but i don't care. i am so nervous about this...props to both men for doing this b/c it really is good for boxing.

 

Let's see. Williams averages a 20% connect rate. Let's be generous and say it was 25% against Margo since I'm too lazy to look it up. That means he threw 4400? :rofl

 

Because he has decent defense and excellent head movement!! He gets hit but he rolls with a lot of the punches and that lessens the effect of the blow!! No one on this site can say they've seen PW buzzed or hurt!!

 

But he beat both of them and neither could hurt or even buzz him!!
