imagine being able to watch Floyd-pac 5 years ago ON FREE TV! or rigo-loma or grj-lsc ...canelo-ggg...all on free tv like NBC or SPIKE. **** hbo and **** showtime...if we can get the nba championships on free tv, we can get big fights on free tv too...it's all a matter of sponsors. but if sponsors feel that boxing is a corrupt, stupid sport with no real fanbase, they won't spend the advertising dollars to support the sport. with haymon's leadership, more big fights and great matchups on free tv, mean more exposure to the public and bigger advertising budgets. we wouldn't have to settle for schit like canelo-khan or canelo-kirkland or ggg-wade/Monroe. we'd get canelo-ggg right there on network tv without having to shell out a cent, much less $100 for the ppv.
^^ you make an interesting point for sure but these jerkoffs will never see it that way....al is just a devil trying to ruin the sport they "love" and putting money in his own pocket....that's really the only answer youll get
you don't know what you're talking about. football isn't popular in America...so clearly there's no natural affinity for it. it's just a common denominator sport that crosses a number of class and cultural barriers. boxing is even moreso. boxing is intrinsically more interesting to people than football ...or even nfl.
LMAO at this broke ass dude's pathetic rant.:rofl:rofl Go pick up some cans and shine some shoes maybe then you'll be able to afford to pay to see the fights.
I hear ya...it's like Obama giving the poor white man healthcare only to have them call him a "socialist n-word" ...then they get sick and all of a sudden it's "come to jesus" time. that's how certain people are...stupid, ungrateful, ignorant and work against their own self-interest ...especially when it comes to race. but, I think haymon's gonna get it done. not for them, but for his own personal vision...to bring boxing into a modern era and for his own personal ambition, which, by the way, is not a bad thing.
You said boxing can become more popular than football(soccer) in europe, no it can't no sport can come within a tenth of soccers popularity in europe, thats just the way it is here
you think that way because that's the way "it's always been"...that's the difference between you and a guy like haymon. he's a visionary...he sees possibility and opportunity where all you can see is limitations.
BCS still basking in ignorance I see....when you get to heaven(and im sure you will because god is merciful and he has you living in personal hell right now) the lord will tell you that the shockmaster has no alt accounts...because he doesn't need them for anything....he always comes using his lone username and he spreads the truth
haymon doesn't believe boxing is going to become bigger than soccer in europe in ireland the best boxing could hope for is becoming the 5th most popular sport at best, no matter what happens
no im speaking for any person with common sense which includes al haymon. in my country boxing no matter what it does the best it could hope for is the 5th most popular sport
The only places where boxing is maybe the most popular sport are Cuba and Puerto Rico and even those are debatable. Not even in Mexico it comes close to the popularity of football only some deranged inbred like the op who only knows the way between the crackhouse and the place where he goes to get his wellfare check would think that boxing is or will be the most popular sport in the world.
