Chavez at his best is a better overall fighter than Lemieux, Chavez can actually box and is definitely a better inside fighter.
Martinez wins over Williams, Kelly Pavlik and movited Chavez jr are better than Jacobs and deverenko imo.
Im no fanboy and im against ducking in this case it was Martinez and his moronic promoter Lou Dibella who went to great lenghts to avoid Golovkin . It was shamefull and a black mark in Martinez career. still Sergio was a helluva a fighter but gotta call a spade a spade
Regarding Ward he blew his knee out at that time and reappeared against Smith at 172 then went straight to 175. Why would a 160 limit title be fought at 155?, why not 157 or 158? If the catch weight was to be fair or do you approve of trying to drain fighters? Honest question. What makes Lara a great win? Up to that point 2015/2016 Lara’s best results was a UD over Trout, a close loss to Canelo and a draw with Vanes, that was his top 3 big fights, oh and a loss to Williams. Now why’s he a bogeyman?
Don’t agree at all. He went 1-1 with Williams, Chavez is a punch bag and the Pavlik win was good. Id favour both Jacobs over all 3, we’ve just seen Chavez quit and I like Derevyanchenko in all 3 fights aswell although Pavlik is a 50/50. Again I’m not knocking Martinez, he was at the time one of my favourite fighters and glad he never got to face GGG in the state his knees where in at the end.
Oh so your going to act like Ward didn't make GGG an offer at 168 saying he plan was Ggg at 68 then Kovalev at 75 with GGG stans like you crying about why would he sign a 2 fight deal Ward lying only for Kivalev to accept the same exact offer... Why did Hopkins fight Hoya at 157? Why did Martinez fight Cotto at 157, why did Williams fight Martinez at 158.. when you want to be great sometimes you make a concession you CLAIM none will fight and anybody from 54-68 then make excuses when the names start calling. Personally I'm not a fan of catch weight title fights but if you claim you can make weight and that no one will fight you, you take the fight to become the boss that's what GREATS do..pretty much you know GGG would have lost that's why you make a big deal about it. In my personal opinion I could careless about Lara always thought he was overrated but people thinking he beat William's and canelo made him just as avoided as GGG you get points for fighting the guy nobody wants to fight, GGG didn't want to fight him.. regardless of how you feel Lara is better than 85% of GGG current resume. Also Cotto never said 155 he for GGG he just said a catchweight considering he fought Geale at 157 that should have been doable but ya boy quacked
Ward was out from 2013 to 2015 in which he went to 172, then was out until 2016 in which he fought 3 times at 175. These are facts, just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t make them any less so. As for Lara YOU brought him up yet cannot tell me why he’s worthy....great job.
lol Son, I know you're fully aware that Ward's team sent an actual contract in 2015 to Golovkin for a fight at 168 for 2016. What Ward chose to weigh in his fights is completely irrelevant. You're ****ing funny lol.. You truly rival MVC.
Oh it’s Flipper.... He fought at 172 in 2015 and 3 fights at 175, he was never coming back down to 168, he said himself prior to the Kovalev fight that making weight was a struggle. Golovkin really does offend you doesn’t he, you need to get out more LMFAO.
He sent a CONTRACT for a fight at 168 for 2016. Who are YOU to say what Ward could or could not have done? A contract for 168... 168, a contract was sent. YOU are the ONLY person in this entire thread that excuses Golovkin turning down the Ward contract because Ward fought above 168 in his fights after coming ot of his break, the ONLY one. You're getting rather pathetic.
No I’m saying he was up at 175 and wouldn’t of come back down. It was sent once the Lemieux fight was booked but unification was their priority at that time, what’s your problem? Maybe GGG should have called for a fight at 161?
As for me being the only person excusing this you are wrong (it’s the first time I’ve seen it mentioned)both fighters where going in different directions at that point, Golovkin unification and Ward to 175.
After seeing a worse, more disinterested version give Jacobs trouble, you don't think it's a good win? Jacobs gave GGG hell.
