Why were the 2 judges in Hopkins v Calzaghe foolish enough to gift Calzaghe a win?

Hopkins losses to Taylor twice in close fights, where he had Taylor looking hurt in the first fight, yet there are very few threads about either fight.
Calzaghe beats Hopkins with a higher scorecard than anyone recorded against Hopkins at that time, and when Hopkins looked to be having some of his best wins and there is a regular thread, debating Calzaghe/Hopkins

How did Taylor perform better when it was Hopkins looking the stronger down the stretch and with Taylor looking hurt?
Not sure how you think he looked better when Taylor was hurt and Calzaghe had Hopkins looking for time out and holding?

Another note is that Calzaghe beat Hopkins at LHW where he was strong at the weight and sandwiched between arguably Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik
