Povetkin showed what he would have done to Wilder when he KO'd David Price. Is this the reason why Wilder keeps avoiding the russian olympic country hero Povetkin?

I've noticed Povetkin has the skills to take the opponets right hand away, so that seems to make Wilder even more scared to fight Povetkin.

I remember when the WBC made Povetkin Wilder's mandatory! Wilder was really afraid, no joke, really afraid, then Povetkin was framed by VADA, then cleared by VADA as they made a mistake. Wilder and Haymon were begging he WBC to cancel the fight BEFORE VADA made their mistake, but suddenly the WBC had a change of heart, Wilder went home before a decision was even made! Povetkin would have knocked Wilder out for sure and they knew it. I think Povetkin beats everyone except Joshua and I am not too sure about Joshua either, esp. after Joshua's last two fights, but Joshua is a much more difficult fight than Wilder. Povetkin has more skills than Wilder, would out class him and knock him out. Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight if he gets back into shape, but will he? Whatever, it's really good to have HAYMON BOXING INSURANCE!

I must be looking at a different guy,I mean I get that you don’t win a gold medal without having skills but he wasn’t just beat by Wlad like say David Haye was ect,he was totally embarrassed by Wlad and was reduced to just charging head down without a hope.

Wilder was stopped by Evgeny Romanov (a cruiser weight) with head gear on. Povetkin was never even stopped by any bigger than himself, never mind someone much smaller.

Povetkin has a decent chance at beating Wilder. Fury and Joshua, not so much!

I’m not a Wilder fan and have always thought technically he’s awful but I said back then as I do now that I just think stylistically Wilder would be too much for him and I’m not sure he’d of had a better chance than Ortiz imo

Wilder is untested against top 10 opponents in their primes. Outside of Bermane Stiverne and perhaps Johan Duhaupas, he's beaten nobody in their primes in the top 10. Wilder isn't that good. And Povetkin beating Wilder doesn't even say much. I think many boxers could beat Wilder, not just Povetkin. Such as Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller, Joseph Parker and etc. Unfortunately, he's been too protected to be in the situation where he can get exposed that badly.

If the David Price example is an incorrect one. Take a look at what Povetkin did to Johan Duhaupas, and then compare that to what Wilder did to Duhaupas. Since that's a common opponent! And Duhaupas, as inferior as he is, gave Wilder all he could handle. It's utterly ridiculous why it should be a far fetched idea to believe Povetkin could have beaten Wilder, with that being the case.

Wilder's speed and range would be hard for Povetkin to close. But atleast Wilder would't be able to weight bully Povetkin like Wlad did.

I don't think right now Wilder avoids him, because Povetkin looks in a different direction. He obviously wants to fight Joshua who brings much more money.

Not as bad as you might think considering that Wilder was later starter in boxing.

Can't see a clear outcome if both meet in the ring.
Could be everything from Povetkin UD to Wilder KO/TKO.
It's likely open matchup like Wilder vs Ortiz.
Only aspect is that Wilder will have the judges on his side. I mean the judges even ****ed Ortiz last time although King Kong was leading with two round margin at least, what will they do to an Russian guy these days??? So Povetkin will need a Knockout here.

Povetkin also started his combat sports career late too. As with many other boxers (who haven't been knocked out / stopped before either). Deontay Wilder is no exception!

The WBC didn't ban him - temporarily - then?
