Why Wilder left the Europe before the fight was even cancelled?

Povetkin didn't fail the drug test. His amount of meldonium wasn't over the limit. And then Wilder left Europe before the fight was even cancelled. I think this was just Wilders trick to get away of this fight. He know he was going to get destroyed by Sasha.

Wilders team used the reporters and the media make it look like Povetkin was drug cheater. Povetkin didn't get caught, because he pass the drug test. But now they try to make him look like drug cheater, because he had banned substance in his system but it wasn't over the limit.

    forcing the issue I guess.

At that point it's hard for the WBC to simply strip him because of the circumstances, but they can't outright cancel either because Povetkin basically passed the test.

For the people that start to scream right after this, look at it this way.... You know you shouldn't drink and drive, but if you take two beers, get in your car and get stopped and tested by a police officer, would you think it's fair to have to leave your car, get a fine and a strike on your licence while clearly being under the limit? :blood

Only on ESB can the fighter who didn't fail a drug test get blamed for a fight being cancelled.

Be real here, neither guy did.

Povetkin was caught on Meldonium, but the quantity is far under the limit for it to be considered illegal.
they had to report it though, and that's when the s__t hit the fan.

It's like these guys with strange testosteron values. You know they're probably juicing, but there's a limit to what is and what isn't allowed. You can't cancel a fight because of it.

Thats because it was a week out from the fight moron.

He obviously did not cycle off his full course in time.

Trace of the drug meant he was using the drug , it doesn't mean he just used a trace of the drug.

Povetkin defendors are an absolute disgrace.

Any amount is illegal. He was merely in the range where he could appeal but the WADA code is quite clear that an anti-doping violation is triggered by any amount detected.

Coward and fraud should just vacate if he doesn't want to fight. Why he's not been stripped amazes me.

What you fail to grasp is at this point in 2016 there are no thresholds ,it's pass fail, not a graded test. How long does a fighter get to become a clean fighter ???

The biggest problem was he passed multuple tests then failed one. There's only 2 possible reasons, he screwed up on the dilution mixture during the failed tests weeks or he was clean then started to dip into his old bags of banned substances.

You can't pretend it's not banned and act like he hadnt passed multiple tests prior to failing his A sample. Also whats very telling and not looking good is team povetkin has yet to request anything be done with the B sample.

That's telling the wbc, i believe the testing was done proper, they found my dirty urine and the B sample will fail and most likely be much worse once wada affiliated labs really dig into the dirty samples.

If all tests were positive but on the way out, he'd have a great case but, he has no case and pushing the issue will only make ot worse. Team povetkin stfu until they know he's ckean as wilder is their only option.

Buying another mandatory status will be very difficult tho
