Thats not an argument. Joshua needs this fight. Wilder needs it. The sport needs it. It simply has to happen.

Whoever else Joshua fights will draw the masses but it won't be for the undisputed HW championship. What sort of boxing fan puts more stock in boxing management than boxing fights?
Never mind your neighbor , Joshua has to fight Wilder and visa versa!

If he brings nothing to the table, then don't fight him, simple as that. At this point, it's not about the fight, it's about having the ability to troll the board. The fight isn't getting made for less than 35%, and Joshua can walk from it, because the price will just continue to climb as the demand for the fight continues to grow. The longer Hearn/AJ wait, the more expensive the fight becomes.

yes, I want to see it too, don't get me wrong, I am just saying that IMO Wilder is more to blame for stalling than AJ is.

They aren't going to give AJ a 70% cut of the rematch. As undisputed HW champion he isn't paying AJ 70% of the split, he isn't worth it. Once Wilder sparks him out...not only will AJ have no belts, he also has diminished drawing power, so why would Wilder agree to give him a 70% split for the second fight?

Well of course because you are emotionally invested in AJ and don't want to have to say "for reasons I don't know and understand, AJ/Hearn don't want the fight, at least not right now". Nobody wants to admit that or feel like they have to defend that...it sucks.

I don't think so.. Hearn is intentionally giving him disrespectful and insulting offers.

    Ha!

    A known troll?

    Really?

    To who?

I'm out of my league debating with you?

Well this we can agree on.

    We're obviously several levels apart.

Where did I defend Wilder's opponents? I'm not even a fan of Wilder.

I haven't tried to discredit Joshua's opponents, I've just highlighted the fact that unless Fury comes back into the picture, there's no bigger fight for him than one against Wilder.

You want to thank yourself lucky that you're not in the world of business. Why is it so hard for you to grasp that Wilder's team are holding out for a percentage of the entire event, instead of a flat fee? Why does this confuse you? What exactly don't you understand? Boxing is a business run by businessman. This is not an after school fight. They aren't immediately going to accept Hearn's offer because they're not in a position where they have to. They can ride it out. Because they know that Hearn will have to come back and meet with them face to face, along with the TV execs etc. This isn't going to be thrashed out through Twitter. It's going to take a series of behind closed doors meeting where the specifics are discussed. If you don't realise this, then you need to educate yourself on the business side of the sport.

I know that you're a huge fan of Joshua's. I know that you want the fight. And I understand. But when you're running a business and there's millions of dollars at stake, things have to be done in a certain way.

When the fight gets made, I'll bump this thread and see you what you have to say for yourself.

Why would AJ merit receiving the same split in the rematch? Wilder would be the undisputed HW champion yet you believe he should give AJ (coming off a loss, no belts, diminished drawing power) 70% of his first title defense? This is what you guys are missing...the first fight can be worked out, it's the second fight that AJ/Hearn have lost the plot with. Wilder will not agree to a 70% split with a guy who he's already beat, who has no belts, who at that point brings nothing to the table.

And that's great news. But he's still going to be out of the picture until next year.

    flip side:

    Wilder started at 50/50

    Hearn offered 12.5 mill.

    Negotiations?

maybe, but I truly believe AJ does want the fight now, one belt away from undisputed.

So why not not pay him over the odds like they did with Prince Charles.. Give him an extremely lucrative offer he can't refuse.. if they really want it that badly??
After beating Wilder , AJ can hold down the division and offer challengers whatever he wants for years to come.

like i replied to a comment earlier, its still early negotiations. Wilder started high, Hearn replied low. I still think in the coming weeks we will get closer to a "fair" offer for both.
