I want to see this fight. If GGG can't get Froch IMO Lara is the next best thing.

No, HBO won't broadcast Lara because he is represented by Haymon and would ask for an unreasonably large amount of $$ for someone who is dull and draws no audience. They stand to gain next to nothing.

Thats known as reason and common sense, not bigotry.

EDIT: Personally I would like to see the fight but I understand why the powers that be are in no rush to make it.

If Golovkin can't get Froch then DeGale would be another good opponent for him.

    Lara should fight Andrade.

:good Great job, but you really think GGG-haters have the brain to understand all that?

Maybe I'm not too privy to the situation(s) then? I always see Golovkin claiming "I'd love to fight [insert name]" but never here any talks of offers or negotiations. But then again, I don't watch every piece of media on Golovkin.

I think Lara would be too easy for him. I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want this fight!

Froch said "no" , DLH said "no" about Lemieux until next year.

LOL, since when does the challenger make an offer to the champ.

LARA'S PEOPLE: "OK Able, we're offering GGG 25% of the purse..."

    No....you're right.
Except TOM LOEFFLER and Krassyuk have.

They also maintain open lines of communication with other promoters, sending out preliminary offers to dozens of fighters.

GGG is ready to get the work done. His team is ready to get the work done.
Yes. There's no question he'd prefer the best paydays available....but he's certainly not playing the BIITCH@SS risk/reward game that you're implying he has been doing.

His only threat of losing is to Ward.
But.....he can't even make that fight b/c no-one even knows if/when Ward will fight again.

And IF he did decide to take K2 up on an offer.....would he go as far as taking the $$$$ and fighting in the venue most likely to earn him and GGG a career payday.?????
Would Ward be ducking Kovalev if he was asked to fight him in Moscow for 100k.????

No. That would be thoroughly insulting.

So if Loeffler offer Ward equal $$$$ to fight at 164/166 with Ward getting a 55%/50% split or at 168 with a 45% split, and WARD turned any those deals down....that's a DUCK.

    PERIOD

If you just glance at Fat Dan, Steve Kim and Tom Loeffler's twitter / blogs / news / etc and a couple boxing news sites you catch most of it.

But I might be more up on things, because.. well... I get very bored with my job. :conf

What I can say, is just in recent memory.. Hearn has acknowledged talking with K2 about Froch and even working out an offer (for Froch), Oscar has acknowledged K2 wants Lemieux, K2 attempt to push the WBC mando issue is known to all.

CST80; I respect you and your opinion, but let's be real on one point. There's another guy represented by Haymon who has a few titles at JLW, LW, W, and JMW that Golovkin has been calling out for over a year. I can't remember his name right now, but supposedly he is losing weight just on the off chance that he is selected to fight in Sept.

Again, this guy is represented by HBO and Haymon.

Secondly, GGG and Sanchez keep going on about everyone ducking him. Well, it seems Lara is not ducking him. He can't face a world class opponent so he fights...WILLIE MONROE?

The guy wasn't a good amateur, and won a tournament on ESPN, lost to an old, washed up Darnell Boone, and can't drop the nobodies he's fighting. Let me sum up Mr. Monroe in one sentence:

Haymon has signed everyone in boxing over the past two years; but him.

Personally I agree with you about GGG-Lara. I think it's a great fight but eventually GGG catches him and stops him, but he wants the fight, he has a Hispanic last name, he is known in America and Mexico from PPV, and he thinks he can win.

So what's the excuse from Sanchez. I really think that they consider him a threat. I did not see why until I watched GGG's 10th pro fight the other night, and let me tell you, he's slowed quite a bit. He took 11 rounds to cut off the ring against that great, fancy dan boxer; MARTIN MURRAY (???)..

Your message is: we can't consider it a duck until we understand the specifics of the offer(s). In that case, I agree.

Guys like Cotto, Quillin, and other middleweights, I believe have ducked Golovkin. But Froch and Ward, I do not believe they're ducking or have ducked. I just don't think it makes sense financially OR they just cannot seem to reach an agreement.

A couple things- PPV that make big money can be worked with.

Another - to the best of my knowledge, K2/Team GGG has not actually made any offer to Floyd. In fact GGG's manager said himself that while Golovkin would love the fight its a pipe dream.

But really, Floyd has never really been "called out" - but just like anyone who could make an agreeable weight, when asked if you would like to fight the biggest PPV name in boxing by a reporter the answer is always yes. Ward and BHop have also said theyd like to find a way to fight Floyd. Noone really takes it serious, except a few forum posters who are overly bored.
