    Lol no, no, NO.

Captalism if anything, is about and requires oppression.

Communism is no more about oppresion than Christianity is about crusades.

The Berlin wall kind of suggests otherwise.

    :think

Iraq, Afghanistan, the continent of Africa, the Indian continent, the global recession, the drug trade all suggest so.

And no country on the face of the Earth has genuinely attempted to implement communism.

Russia was a left-wing totalitarian state, which had implemented some communist & socialist ideas, but that's it.

We're going off on a tangent somewhat here, I'm not really too interested in debating the merits of communism or capitalism on a boxing forum.

Rigondeaux and Lara for example were banned from the Cuban Team, after their first escape attempt.

Not at all a top am like the Italian heavy will have a set fee the National team pay him maybe as much as 100k a year, then all expenses paid for then with him being so succesful as an am he will have lots of endorsments etc etc.

If he turns pro he could make money but like someone said the Pro game in Italy is not good and not much money about he would probably have to go to Germany and sign with the promoters over there, but all in all he has it pretty cushy right now as an am.

Also as well as someone like cammarelle having it cushy in italy staying amateur, not everyone wants to be a pro and go through the prolonged beatings a professional suffers over 12 rounds and receive brain injuries that are less common with amateurs, I've see an interview with teofilo stevenson where he describes pro boxing as inhumane. He had the talent to be an ATG as a professional, i believe in the 70s he would have beaten holmes frazier and possibly foreman
