Does Danny Green deserve 50 - 50 against a big name like Hopkins?
If Danny green fought a nobody in Australia would he get the same amount as a PPV featuring Hopkins and a nobody?

Please only comment only if your serious no bull**** about mundine!!

Green's willing to spend a lot of money to get Hopkins out to Australia to fight him, plus there will be the PPV rights to be divided.

They both stand to make a lot of money, considering that the US now knows Green as the man who KOd RJJ and ruined the chances of a Hopkins vs RJJ rematch.

The purse split is really just a formality considering the other lucrative factors in a fight of this magnitude i.e the aforementioned PPV rights.

Hopkins just doing his usual demanding - what did he make for his last fight? :hey

If it's in Australia, I think he has a legitimate claim for 50-50. Green will sell out a venue no matter who he's fighting.e People will know Green is fighting a legend as it will no doubt be advertised to no end, but not too many people will know exactly who Bernard Hopkins is. Hopkins will bring some PPV's from overseas, but how many really? The fact Bernard has stated on b-talk his previous 4-5 fights have been 50-50 splits, makes it hard for him to make a case for 60-40 here when Green fans will generate the majority of the revenue.

I was refering to the comment he made about fighting Roy for free he said that he "would".

Also I mean if hopkins is a huge legend Danny keeps telling everyone, then how could he expect 50 - 50 split hopkins is house hold name in Boxing that much is true and in America nobody wants to see hopkins fight at all a lot of people in America are of the opinion he is all washed up.

Hopkins wont fight for 50 -50 i dont think its too dangerous to come all the way to Australia and fight a younger fitter harder puncher in Danny Green.

Danny fought on Roy jones undercard and that was a real low poor showing in Australia PPV rating suggest.

The only fights that Danny has ever filled and made huge amounts PPV wise was against Mundine and a huge name in Boxing Roy Jones so I guess he needs the big names to sell it out Green vs mundine only got a lot because everyone went to watch mundine lose!

So I guess danny need the big names hopkins deserves 60 - 40 for offering his huge name or Danny would get way less fighting anyone else except green mundine 2

Jealous no not me I want to see hopkins fight Danny I just think that Danny chased hard and he should take what ever the offer is I mean if he beats hopkins he will have a huge drawing power in the USA so he should think down the line further and just take what ever to fight hopkins because if it falls through he will be worth nothing again unless he fights mundine again cause thats what australia wants to see!

The reason i say he will have a huge drawing power in USA if he beats Hopkins is because Roy and hopkins may be old has beens and the public may know this but they still draw huge crowds in USA and who knows if he does KO hopkins Golden Boy promotions may pick him up and get him some big paydays in USA.

The gates are potentially a lot bigger in Australia than in America. So the fighters will make alot of money from ticket sales as well as PPV's. They will be fighting for Green's title.

Hopkins will get a lot of money from fighting Green in Australia. Having said all that, Hopkins is a much bigger name than Green. I can understand Hopkins asking for a 60:40 split.
