I disagree completely with you about this fight being boring. I think Wright will come at him and push him around. Wright will know he's the bigger guy, the better defense and will also know about Oscar's stamina issues. I think this fight would actually be a good scrap.
While I see why people would love to see DLH fight Winky I don't understand why DLH should have too. I think Forrest is a better option and Mora especiacly so. This **** got started up again because Mayweather Sr. opens his mouth and **** flys out. But Winky has no title, Hoya has no title. Winky could be calling out Mora if all he wanted was to get back on the scene but we all know this is about Winky being broke and wanted to fight Hoya for the money. Hoya wants a last fight to go out on, Mora has a title, the winner of Cotto/Marg will have several titles. Winky brings nothing to the table, not even an interesting style matchup. While I agree that Hoya likely gets outpointed by Wright. Winky/Hoya would be like RJJ/Trinidad, two guys with nothing at stake taking up time and dates that could go to something more meaningful. Even PBF would have been Hoya trying to avenge a loss and so more meaningful.
If the fights with Mosley were boring(to me) then I don't see this being any entertaining. The way I see it is this, Winky wants this fight because he knows it's an easy win and a lot of money, DLH doesn't want it because I'm pretty sure he knows he'll lose and in a fight not worth being his last, so both are even in my opinion. One guys wants it easy and the other would rather be in there with someone seriously highly regarded by all and coming off major victories and not a loss.
:rofl A FLoyd fan accusing others of ducking.............You're pathetic.:hi: So now that you won't have to defend Floyd 24/7 I guess you'll be spending all your time riding DLH!
Yeah maybe I just like watching Wright fight because I didn't think those were boring. We'll see what happens, but Oscar is in a bad spot here because Cotto is very likely to beat him as well. I think he should target Mora actually, go out winning another WBC strap.
Oscar is THE MOST "called out" boxer of this generation. With all the guys he has fought calling him a ducker is just pure stupidity.
Well we all have different tastes, I know it will sound ridiculous when I say I find Hopkins VERY entertaining so we're on the same page here. Fighting Mora is a good choice but I doubt he's interested in that right now, he wants a major mega-event PPV fight and Mora doesn't belong in that category, he belongs in the same category as Forbes and I know you know that. A loss against the rising and highly regarded Cotto will still look better than a loss against Winky coming off a LONG lay-off and a loss to someone DLH already lost to, Hopkins. By the way, I don't think either Hatton nor Pacman will fight him, it has got to be Cotto/Margarito winner. Don't think Pacman is stupid enough to ruin his career and move up 3 divisions for one big payday.
Agreed. It would've been nice in 2003 for a unification at 154, but Wright hasn't fought at 154 since 2004. Wright hasn't fought in almost a year, when he was fat and lost.
A fight with Winky Wright doesnt make sense for Oscar, it would be a good win but not historical. Oscar wants to achieve something in his last fight, either fight p4p #1 or a rising young star like Cotto or at least someone who brings a lot of cash or brings excitement.
Kinda of hypocritical of Oscar don't you think? He wants to fight little people like Forbes, Hatton, PBF and Pac but doesn't want to fight people his own size or slightly bigger like Winky.
