Because Pacquiao wanted to move up in weight and get his fourth title,if Marquez best Casa then its likly be a rematch cuz he would be the man to beat in that weight class.

Because PAC is ducking him... he'd rather go to indonesia or fight with past his prime dela hoya, that's how good JMM is. Pac was just lucky he knocked him down 4 times.... JMM is way above his level. lol

jmm fans will never stop crying about the L of their boy. when the pac-jmm III happens, there will be another excuse, for sure, when pac beats him. "he only fight old and shot mexicans". i'm tired of hearing that excuse :-(

It isn't Pac who doesn't want this. It's Bob Arum's decision to wait and let the dust settle before raising another dramatic fight. It's all about getting more interest from fans and that comes with time between the rematch. This is a fight that will eventually happen. I'm sure of it.

this is the dilemma of the scoring system and nothing else. winning 3 close rounds is just the same as getting totally hammered to the canvas 100 times in one round. but this is given and you can't change it, so it's stupid to even argue.

i had pac winning the first one (not even too close), and jmm closely winning the second one. the way you make it sound, there's no room for discussion and pac totally shits on jmm, i don't know if this was intended, but you should know that this is total bull****. a third fight could clear a lot of things up (i guess in favor of pac), and arguing against that fight is an insult to the sport, though i can understand that people want the exciting fighter pacquiao to seem untouchable to talk him bigger than he is (and even in my opinion he's totally brilliant).

For me, i give more credit to the guy who gets KDed 3 times in round one but proceeds to pretty much dominate the next 11 with superior boxing skills over the guy who got the KDs but was outboxed for 11 rounds.

And please, JMM did beat Pacman in their 2nd fight. So for me, JMM did outbox, or outclass Pacman in both fights.

    JMM has a legit excuse.

I think a 3rd fight is needed because the first 2 were so close.

I just think that some Pac fans talk like dangerousity because until now, with all of the good battles Manny has fought, he's still getting put down and some people saying he's "ducking" JMM, or he's only fought washed up champs, etc.

Not an ounce of respect at all. They dont give Pac his due.

Even if he's not your favorite fighter, and he's been involved in close decisions, they should give him even a little credit.

And Im sick of the word "*******". That's the reason why I avoided posting here in the general forum before.

Which is probably the reason that a third fight should'nt happen......

......if Pac thinks he can compete vs the likes of Hatton and DLH, let him do so, because there, when he loses, at least he'll lose making well above 10 million.

As for JMM, its unlikely that he'll ever get a fair shake from the judges fighting as hyped a fighter as Pac is now.

The reality is that JMM must at least dominate 9 rounds to have a chance at a decision. He cant dominate 6 or 7 and clearly win another 2 or 3.......all of JMM's rounds must come by dominating fashion, or he's unlikely to get them in a fight against Pac.

Time to move on for JMM and prove himself vs the likes of Casamayor, Guzman, Juan Diaz, and Campbell.
To come out of this group as the #1 lightweight, I think most knowleadgeable boxing observers would declare JMM as the best of his generation in the lighter weights.

I've actually thought about it the last several days. Imo, JMM or the winner of Guzman-Campbell, I'd favor to beat Pac......and I actually think that deep down Pac himself knows it.

Why should'nt Pac cashout against the likes of Hatton and DLH in bigger money fights?
Pac's in great position right not to cashout. Why should he stay in a 135 lbs division he's unlikely to be the best dog in.......

I'm in agreeance with Pac, he should cashout!!!:thumbsup

Are you saying PAC is being TREATED in a special way by the judges that is why he is up there in the p4p? The judges are doing him a favor that is why he keeps on winning? As if boxing is a syndicate and PAC is being protected by hook or by crook?!

I know you are a JMM die hard fan by your imagination about PAC is out of this world! C'mon don't get paranoid.

On the other hand, if JMM keeps winning there are no problems with the judges?!

Clearly, we have double standards here :deal

Obviously, there is a built-in excuse for you in case pac and jmm fights and it so happen that the fight is close again... THE JUDGES :yep

i fully agree. there's traditionally very much hostility in this weight class, i don't know if it spawned from barrera and morales (who's my personal favorite), or even earlier. and now even humble fighters like jmm and pac are harvesting the storm for it.

:thumbsup Exactly. Best post so far.

I seriously want to have a 3rd fight. The first 2 have been nothing but classic. So who wouldn't want a 3rd fight? But there are just times where I would rather prefer the fight to not happen at all. Because no matter the result, I feel there will always be constant downplaying and hating generated towards both fighters. I'm slowly coming to the realization that these 2 will never be seen in the same light as say, Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez. I mean with Izzy-Rafa, we ALL saw their fights as classics and some of the best fights in history. And because of that, it didn't matter who won or lost. BOTH fighters' status were elevated.

With Pac-JMM there seems to be this blatant blindness from fans on both sides that is preventing the same thing from happening to both fighters. On the one hand we have a group of people who thinks JMM DOMINATED Pac in the 2nd fight and got cheated and robbed(corrupt judges!!!) when in reality that fight was one of the closest fights to score in the last few years. And on the otherhand, we have a group of people who ridicule JMM because he doesn't seem to keep his feet off the ground, when in reality he always fought his way back into the fight. This kind of backwards mentality is what prevents us from seeing past the smoke and recognizing that these warriors have provided us with 2 CLASSIC BOUTS. This kind of backwards mentality also prevents BOTH fighters from being elevated TOGETHER like Izzy-Rafa. Instead, when it comes to Pac-JMM, its always gonne be ONE fighter being elevated and the other being downplayed and never given the proper respect he deserves.
