Theres been issues in the not too distant past with Hide and Frank Warren, Herbie losing a court battle over payments which might be why it hasnt happened in the past. Could happen, wouldnt pay to see it tho be over in a minute. If Herbie somehow doesnt win on Friday it may happen, otherwise hes after WBC title
Enzo and hist team had Cobra promotions T-shirsts (Froch?), has he left Fwank? Who's Herbie fighting on friday?
I guess because Enzo's looked so awful since losing to Haye. But, with the Euro title on the line, and the ranking that goes with it, why not?
was going to wait until after prizefighter to do a thread on this. the fight makes sense. Next month Enzo will be top 10 with the WBC and probably back in the WBO top 10. Hide is 3 with the WBC and 9 with the WBO, and will be mandatory for the winner of Fragomeni vs Wlodyack (something like that) It would be a smart move by Warren to offer Hide decent money to fight Enzo in Cardiff with a Cleverly euro defence on the undercard. The fight would deffinatley be an attraction as Hide is still a name and your guarenteed a great fight as both have power and **** chins. Could also double as a WBC eliminator. If Enzo wins he is mandatory for the winner of Frag vs Wlod which is a very winnable fight in Wales.
Wasn't it 'Cobra Boxing Clothing' or something like that? Don't know if it was connected in anyway to Froch.
Enzo now gets an automatic rating in the top 10 of the WBC and Hide is set to fight for that title very soon (although he's been waiting for what seems like an eternity) but the fight makes alot of sense now.
What's the old saying about if it makes dollars it makes sense. Well if they fight for a world title it will make more "sense"!
Enzo is still with Warren and after the fight the other night he mentioned talking to frank to see where they go next. So unless he wants more info on drugs i.e. 'talk to frank' I think he's still with him. Hide, one would have thought would be reluctant to take on Enzo when he has a WBC shot looming. However I was also supprised that he entered Prizefighter and can't imagine what his promoter was thinking letting him do that. If he looses that will almost definaely be an end to the number two ranking and his potential title shot!!! Hide has never been one to back out of a challenge so that's why he has taken it. A win will quickly put another 3 in the right column of his record and earn him a fairly decent (not amazing) pay day. Enzo vs Herbie would be an excellent fight that I have wanted to see for some time. For my money Enzo would win. Having said that if you had asked me last week I would have said it was a bit too early for Enzo. But the other night he looked as if he may have got his Mojo back. I would be supprised if it happens to be honest unless Herbie loses prizefighter. If he does then the fight would make excellent sense to Warren and Hide wouldn't turn it down.
Hide was going to accept a fight with Enzo on the Khan vs ***in undercard at late notice but pulled put when part of the deal was Hide dropping his law suit agaisnt Warren
