why would a 27 year old be in a rush to fight a 35 year old?

Brook was signed to fight Vargas when he withdrew for a better fight with 3G. Arena , PPV and promotion were all under way for Vargas..

Why didn't GGG do the same to take a better fight with Ward? Imo he used the Lemmie fight as an excuse not to fight Ward.

Probably to legitimise the claim he was me champ, the shame of claiming he's fighting him next in front of millions upon millions of his home fans then doesn't and fight nobody Liam smith instead for far less.its quite simple when u think about it

There was a deal in place. Come on Shock. Even you have to admit that much.

"Golovkin was Alvarez’s WBC mandatory after Alvarez won the title from Miguel Cotto on Nov. 21. Alvarez and Golden Boy worked out a deal with Loeffler and the WBC for both fighters to have interim fights before they meet. It’s anyone’s guess how many fights they will have before the match actually comes to fruition."

That is from The Ring btw.

And we will have to agree to disagree on how many fights he had at MW. If he fought at 155, he fought in the MW division.

And he choose Khan. He could have picked any true MW but instead he picked a China chinned WW to fight as his voluntary defense. And because he's Canelo, he would have made the same money range.

Now he is fighting another BS CW fight. Who's to say he won't decide he likes 165 and entice a title holder at SMW to take a CW fight there.

When did I say Canelo "never said he wouldn't fight MWs"?
And how is fighting at 164 against a person bigger than MW, preparing you for MW? Surely that means you're ready for MW?...

Yes Golovkin avoided Ward and then Ward outgrew 168 and joined 175 and moved on with his career getting 2 big fights with P2P no 2 Kovalev. Canelo ducked GGG, yes DUCKED, because GGG was his mandatory. GGG never gave Ward his title. Canelo gave GGG his title. So Canelo ducked while GGG avoided a guy a division higher. Now GGG is fighting 15 pounds lighter than Ward while Canelo is fighting at a weight GGG has never fought at.

GGG avoided Ward because it was a difficult fight for him where he'd probably lose and thats that.
Canelo ducked GGG because he was going to get KTFO by GGG

You already know all this doe

Look, I'm just going to come right out and say it. And it's my opinion. I believe Canelo is scared of GGG. He has been in the ring with him. Even in sparring you know when a guy is just too much for you. I've been there. I've sparred with guys I knew were just too much for me to handle. I think that sparring left a lasting scar on Canelo that he does not want to be in the ring with GGG when it matters.

Why do you care how much Canelo makes? You won't ever see a cent of it.

I hope Chavez Jr knocks him out tonight and I wouldn't be surprised if he does.

    At MW.

    Where he's always been.

Same as the Marvellous one, Monzon, and a host of other MWs.

You forgot Redrooster's constant badmouthing of SRL and his adulation of Terry Norris.

All these posters have one thing in common with Shocky. They have let a great boxer get inside their head and now they can't shake off that omnipresent obsession.
