Why would a boxing fanatic want Haymon to fail with PBC?

This is getting ridiculous. Do you really, honestly believe most people that hate on Haymon are doing so because he's black? There are so many more variables than that. This kind of talk is creating a bull**** precedent where if you say a bad thing about a black person you are automatically racist. Look at the situation first ffs. People did hate on Arum, the reason why right now they are hating on Haymon and PBC is because it is the new thing, last year there were plenty of people hating on HBO and Top Rank.

All I see is Haymon mega hate. Guys here were positively orgasmic about the news of Haymon being sued by ODLH and Arum. Like those guys are any different than Haymon. The only difference is Haymon is black. Now Manfred a few post earlier says the Haymon hatred stems from his association with Mayweather. I agree that's part of it. But there is REAL HATRED directed towards the man that's unreasonable. I don't see the REAL HATRED towards any other promoters.

I gotta admit, that's some real good hate right there. Still four years old, but maybe Arum is fading away in his old age. And the hate isn't as hot. I'll step back and take a second look at the overall picture.

We want to find out who the best fighter is in each division. Al Haymon is preventing this by protecting his fighters making them fight bums.

There's more than enough reasons that true boxing fans would like to see the PBC fail. Here is just a partial list.

    1) Haymon is alleged to be violating the law. I'm not a lawyer, but the Chavez instagram photo check showed what was clearly a promoter's responsibility, not a manager.

    2) Certain fighters are treated with respect while others are marginalized. Look at how Porter was treated in his fight with Broner. They made Porter get down to 144 LB for the fight, then once they realized Broner was the one with issues the clause mysteriously disappears. Also, in the case of Mora, if he was the preferred Haymon fighter, he'd get the Jacobs rematch. But with Haymon advising all the fighters involved, including Quillin, Mora will be left out to dry.

    3) This new cold war prevents fights that fans would like to see. May/Pac was such a bonanza that it was able to be made, but look at fights we'll probably never see. Bradley/Thurman, Wilder/Klitschko, Quillin/GGG, Stevenson/Kovalev, Kovalev/Beterbiev.

    4) Haymon's largesse has created a generation of entitled fighters who seem to only care about money and little about their contribution to the sport. Of course, fighters deserve to make money, as their careers are short and the risks are high. However, he's created guys like Berto, Broner, and Quillin and turn them into puppets for the PBC.

    5) If successful, it could drive other enterprises out of business, creating a monopoly. Competition is usually good for the consumer, so if one man controls everything in the U.S. and perhaps the U.K. (with Hearn's involvement), we'll be screwed.

    6) BJ Flores is just awful. Had to add that just because he's putrid. Says Shumenov fights like a woman by moving, while the generalissimo of the PBC, Floyd Mayweather, hardly has the reputation of standing and trading with his opponents. And he's interviewed by his partner, Kenny Rice, who won't ask any real questions.

The fighters are happy, they are excited to be on this stage and they perform well. PBC has put on some pretty good cards. I don't see any reason to complain really.

I guess this guy named Bob Arum is currently well-loved and people are dying for him to monopolize the sport.

Here is the point of certain people always bringing up race.

I've exhausted all of my arguments... how about the race angle. :good

We've already played this argument out in the previous posts.

The explanation is that manny is not associated with haymon, thats the only reason why they don't like it (or pretend they don't ). Arum has been exposed for robbing manny and being corrupt, yet the ****s purposely overlook that and think arum is the best thing for the sport. If manny were to leave arum in a angry manner, you can bet the ****s would follow.

Has nothing to do with race, just them being manny c**k suckers.
