Why would a fighter throw away the biggest PAY DAY of his career?

Why should Wlad go into a unification bout with the longest layoff of his career? He was injured and wants to go through a good camp and work off some ring rust before taking a match with Haye, who everyone knows may or may not show up.

Plus he already gave Chisora the shot, he felt the right thing to do was follow through with that and let the man have his chance, however slim it is.

He wants the fight, he agreed to it....Haye's the one who cried and took his ball home.

isnt the real story in all this

haye used the klitchsko's to gain publicity at heavyweight

the 1st fight was cancelled because setanta went bust

haye got the chance to fight valuev, to win a world title and increase his bargaining power at the negotiation table so he wouldn't be held to a slave contract

haye doesn't seriously negotiate with the klits for a while and makes 2 easy defences of his title to make good money before he retires and further build up the anticpation of a fight with a klit

haye comes back to the negotiating table and can now demand 50-50 without a slave contract.

haye sees vlad as a much easier fight than vitali because vlad has no chin whatsoever.....none

vlad knows that with the speed and power of haye, that he has a very good chance of being embarrassingly demolished again and that it would make his entire heavyweight reign look fraudlent

vlad wants vitali to take care of business like he did with sanders for him

vlad hides under vitali's skirt, arranges a meaningless fight chisora 9 weeks before a scheduled fight with haye which limits promoting the haye fight and leaves a big danger of the fight being postponed if vlad gets cut, gets put on ***** street or picks up another fraudulent injury like he used to postpone the fight with chisora the 1st time round.

vlad then leaves his ****** fanboys on here an excuse to keep trying to cover up his disgracefull duck of haye, knowing that there is now a much greater chance that big brother vitali will get to haye 1st and more than likely beat haye.

haye is pist because he has set a timescale to retire, he didn't want to defend his title v chagaev, he wanted two huge megafights with the klits before he retired but definitely wanted vlad before vitali

is this not what has happpenned?

    :rofl:rofl

Hayes told wlad, "you fight me or you fight chisora, you can't fight him, then me"

If you can't grasp that hayes has no buisness telling wlad who he can fight, then you just don't get it. The fight was set for july 2, HAYES PULLED OUT;)

When was the last time Haye signed a fight and pulled out?

Mosley was meant to fight Berto . Berto pulled out was going to reschedule , but the Mayweather fight made more sense.

There is an Irony here the Haye fight makes more sense, dont throw in a 14 fight novice and make it sound like Wlad should be commended.

He fought two mandatorys in 2010, Peters an Chambers. He took easy keep busy fight at the end of 2010, nothing wrong with that, he got injured, he just keeping up his part of the bargin with chisora. Wlad should be commended, he is staying busy, he fought only top 10 guys for the past 6 years. This is his first guy not ranked in the top 10 in the past six years. Not bad at all, an you forget no one else was ready or willing to step up in december to fight him..........Commended, Hell yea he should be. Has hayes even began talks with anybody:yep,

he supposed to be the heavyweight champion of the world you moron

hes not meant to have 'warm ups' or fights to get the 'ring rust' - or "guys not in the top 10"!

What business does the heavyweight champ have fighting a 14 fight novice who has never been the 12???????

dont get me wrong, haye is a tool himself. a prizefighter who comes out once a year to con non boxing people into PPV his fights....

BUT - trying to justify this garbage fight is stupid imo. What happens if 15,000 people go to pay to see a guy way outa his depth get KTFO in the first round without offering anything back?

    its trash

I don't know the ins and outs of this and don't particularly like either guy but I wanna see this fight.
From what I've heard Haye agreed to all of Wlads demands but Wlad wouldn't agree to Haye's one, very reasonable IMO, demand.

June 20, 2009 sound familiar to you?? Not to mention the verbal/implied agreement to fight Vitali, only to run off to fight the weakest HW title holder in recent years.

    Legacy

Wlad and floyd are already rich without fighting haye and pac. 20-30-40 yrs from now no one is gonna talk about how much money wlad or floyd made. They'll be talking about who they fought/loss to or beat.

In floyd's case should he fight and lose to pac. He can't talk about being the greatest cuz he has that 1 L in his record. You know how he loves to brag about the 0 in his loss column.

Wlad can brag about how he dominated his era. So for both fighter losing their next fight to haye and pac will hurt their legacy.
