I'd say the fairest of them are those calling for Fury to have more tune ups first. Bit disrespectful for some fat armchair know it all to tell Tyson what he is and isn't ready for, but I understand where they're coming from at least.

Definitely a ton of hypocrisy as far as the Wlad Fury parallel. If Fury looks good against Pianeta, and shows up in fight shape against Wilder, there will be as much reason to credit Wilder for a win as AJ deserved against Wlad. And yeah, I sense some resentment about Wilder Fury putting this fight together without AJ. But I'm glad to see the poll at least is overwhelming in favor of the match up.

To be fair I give AJ full credit. At no point in Wlad's career did he give any reason to ever believe he could have ever handled Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. Wlad wasn't ever very good.

I would rather see the best fight the best when they are both at their best..

Fury hasn't just had a long layoff we all know his struggles at it isn't like a normal break..

Honestly anyone wanting this fight to happen this year are really just Wilder nut huggers or Fury haters hoping to shoot a wounded bull before its fit enough to charge back..

Same guys wanting this fight were all defending Wilder's soft touch fights after coming back from his bicep injury. Why didn't he fight top fighters straight away??

I like Fury, I rate the version that fought Wlad extremely highly, but from what he showed against Seferi, he's a long way from beating the likes of Wilder.

I hope Pianta might show a better version

The problem, I suppose, is that we dont know if Fury can cut it anymore.

He went off the rails big time, had a long lay-off then made a comeback against a no-hoper during which the only thing we learned is that Fury's just as much of a jackass as he used to be and spent more time playing around than trying to fight.

I dont think people are against the basic idea of Wilder/Fury, but the worry is that this is happening too soon in Fury's comeback and he wont be 100% mentally or physically to face up against a World Champion.

The thing is, even if Fury isn't ready, a true champion always bounces back. Really, if Fury can get back to the top at all, he should be able to do it with a loss to Wilder along the way.

The version who fought against Wlad showed us a great display of perfect gameplan execution.

Fury in top shape with the right gameplan could definitely beat Wilder, he is adaptable enough.

But for me personally i would always favor Wilder in that matchup based on styles.

I reckon it'll be a cracking fight, in that it will be competitive. Wilder will come in for some criticism though, from certain circles, should he win, and rightly so.

Joshua still faces the same type of criticism for his victory over Wlad. Wlad is an ATG, who was clearly disciplined, constantly in shape, and motivated. But some will always point to his time out without a competitive fight, and his age.

Should Wilder win, people will point to Fury's lack of discipline, and the fact that he's recently come back from a 2 and half year booze and drug fest, regardless of how Fury looks.

I'd love to see them fight. I hate them both, at least as entities in the heavyweight title picture (although on a personal level I don't mind Deontay, and kind of actually feel bad for him for all the deserved hate that he gets for his sham reign and disgraceful skill level for a champ). Either the dope from Tuscaloosa gets a boxing lesson and is exposed his first time facing a vaguely mobile super heavy with a shred of defensive guile, or the rotund loudmouth gets caught at the very end of a solid right hand and is KTFO from the sport.

    Either way, I WIN.

Fury just fought Seferi and will fight Pianeta now and that guy got knocked out in a round vs shot, old and fat Chagaev and also got knocked out against Kevin Johnson as well.

Fury needs top 10-20 opponent otherwise Wilder will get no credit if he wins at all. Also the fight might make more money if Fury wins against someone in the top 10 or 20 american or brit fighter.Too early people, way too early. Also Fury is with this joke of a trainer and yes man as well.
