    It's a win-win imo.

Floyd wins we see a huge fight in FMJ-Pacquiao.

JMM wins we see the rubber match between him and Pac. I think there is still some business left between these two. And I don't know how anyone can say that it wouldn't be a superfight. The p4p #1 against the guy who beat Mayweather (I'm assuming this fight only happens if JMM beats Floyd).

You really can't go wrong regardless of who wins. I really want JMM to win but in the end Floyd will be too much for him imo.

say what you want about what happened at 140, but the truth is, if floyd really wanted to add some spice to his legacy, he would've gone after them....and not gatti....floyd was the one that said cotto was just too green, yet bruseless was p4p king at the time.....

and lighten up with that name calling ****...i'll be the bigger man and step down from it...it has really turned this forum to **** :good
but what's up with that pitull food ****:lol::lol:...i'm a insurance broker, not a pitbull dog food salesmen......but i am gonna say this, if you have a pitbulls, NUTRO MAX is the ****....tons of protein, less **** to pick up, and gives them a healthy looking coat :yep

That's your opinion then, if you noticed I said the "MAJORITY" of fans, not all of them. I would personally enjoy both but prefer Mayweather/Pacquiao. I'll admit though that it would be very interesting to see those guys fight at 140 seeing how Pacquiao's power is there and how Marquez might perform, it could be explosions all over again like the first two.

Very true, still Marquez has to win his next fight to guarantee it. Might not sound fair or might get some people pissed off but that's how things go in this sport and I wouldn't say it's Mayweather, Marquez or Pacquiao's fault. Whether it was against Mayweather or not Marquez would have been forced to move up to make it.

if JMM beats PBF, then Pac vs JMM is the grand finale + an incredible trilogy.

If JMM beats PBF... then Pac vs JMM has all that Pac vs PBF has and much more

Both Cotto and Mayweather were with Arum, you prove idiocy and ignorance or just being clueless thinking Arum would waste Cotto so early to make a fight with Mayweather. A guy who was clearly still rising and testing his self with the opponents he was facing. If he was ready why wasn't he the one after Tszyu or Hatton?, want to answer that?

Yet one post above you're calling me "black" even though you know I'm not like it's an insult. No wonder you're a dog expert.

I'm not blaming anybody...but it's a little ****ed up that a guy has to go up in weight with eroding skills to fight the returning P4P #1 and WIN THAT to then POTENTIALLY (because Arum will most certainly be mixing up Pac with one of his boys from TR) get a fight he should've had all along. It's one thing to move up to 140 to fight Pac, it's another to move up to 147 (if you believe Max Kellerman of course) to fight Mayweather. Not complaining about it, if JMM thinks that's what it is then who am I to *****? Just pointing out how ****ed up it is.

That's the thing about this whole ****. I read WWM say things like "They're going to fight again anyways" (in regards to Pac-JMM) but we're talking about a fight saga that had 4 years of inbetween time for a sequel. Arum knows what JMM is and has no rush to match him up with Pac again if he has his way. The time is as fresh as ever to have that fight...and the more opponents thrown in front of it, the more time we'll have between a final conclusive showdown. I don't know about you but I have no interest to see a pushing 40 JMM taking on an out of his prime Manny Pac for the 3rd time.

That's when Marquez/Pacquiao III takes over, the fans lose nothing there.

It may be ****ed up but he would have move to up anyway as Pacquiao is up there and the fight with Mayweather is a catchweight of 144 last time I checked. Think we all know DLH was the reason behind Manny being where he is in terms of weight division. It's only logical/reasonable for Marquez, the loser of the last fight with Pacquiao, to move up if he wants it.

I don't want that either but these things happen in the sport anyway, to some it's annoying and to some it's good news. Can't argue with you in this one.

it doesn't matter who was with who...like i said, if floyd really wanted it, he would've made it happen....didnt margo vs cotto happen, and they are both with arum...:deal so i guess i aint that big of an idiot, right.....
cotto wasn't after tszyu or hatton, but he did call them out (actually he said he would love to fight them) and i dont remember cotto ever calling himself the greatest.....

bro, i'm telling you...i'll step down from all this bull**** name calling if you do.....let it die man

As I thought as well. That said Max Kellerman said "It'll take place at Welterweight even though Marquez isn't a WW." Perhaps he meant in regards to the catch weight or what have you. Honestly we haven't seen enything either way in the official spectrum so who knows.

As per it being logical or reasonable, it was logical or reasonable to move up to 140...which is where Roach wants Pac fighting at. The 5 lb jump from 135 to 140 is important but not a HUGE deal either way. Making a 12 lb jump is a lot different...and this is against the top fighter in the world, not an old name in ODLH. You see what I'm saying here? A win for Floyd would lead to a great fight with Pac...but in the process rob us of the final act in one of boxing's new age rivalries. That's why I'm pulling for Marquez.

Margarito vs Cotto happened at the right time when Cotto was ready for it, back when Mayweather was at 140 only a MORON would say a fight with Cotto would have been good. You are also the FIRST to say Cotto is a good opponent back then, people were all over Vivian Harris' balls as far as I remember and for logical reasons as Cotto wasn't even ready for that kind of step up. Arum being his promoter would NOT put him in that fight at the time because even a NORMAL fan can see he's not ready, his team are there to protect him and send him against top guys when he's ready for that level not when he's CLEARLY green.

Cotto never called them out man, please, you can fool a few noobs here with that but you won't to me. Cotto said he will be more than glad to fight them when the time is right, that's after he was ASKED about them then moved up in weight because he couldn't handle 140 anymore with his biggest win there being Ricardo Torres. Of course you won't criticise that.

There is no name calling from my side unless you resort that direction. When I see someone calling people "black" like it's an insult then expect me to respond in similar fashion if not worse. Racism like that should not be tolerated and it means nothing to me if you believe I'm black or not as I'm sure there are black posters here who will find it repulsive to constantly get away with it.

try to answer this without using the word "money"

why in hell did floyd make it a job to go after gatti...a passed his prime, war torn veteran who was a c+ fighter at best...when in fact, he could've chased other guys who would've actually gave him a good fight ????? cotto was young, but he wasn't green.....what exactly has he changed from his style since 140...i mean, besides the weight, nothing at all

and please dont bring vivian harris into this, his way of getting a fight was a joke from the start....

Yeah Cotto-PBF at 140 was never possible. Cotto was still developing and playing life or death due to his weight and Floyd was pretty much doing bigger things at that point.

At 147 however there's really no excuse that it doesn't happen.
