Got to fully agree there, I've read so much about it that even I don't know what weight these guys will fight at already. It's also annoying that no one mentions it in ANY interview.

There's a group that will say if Mayweather wins it robs us of a third fight with Pac and if Marquez wins it robs us of a fight with Mayweather. Two different huge fights and I can't blame whoever prefers either as both are great/too good to not happen.

Your comments and full support of Vivian Harris back in the day prove you otherwise but let's ignore that for now.

You considering Cotto ready means nothing as the majority of fans including the boxing public back then agreed that Cotto doesn't belong against Mayweather yet, it doesn't take a boxing expert to see through that easily so I would assume you're ignoring it either for the hell of it or to continue showing life in this discussion. Cotto was simply NOT ready for that fight, seek out interviews with Arum his self and you will be able to run into one. One noticable interview is the one on ESPN with both Arum and Mayweather sitting next to one another discussing future fights while being interviewed on QUITE FRANKLY. They mentioned Cotto as a possibility LATER when he fully develops.

I wouldn't expect you, who claims to know boxing, to even need confirmations like those.

Well I guess I'm sort of riding the middle portion here. I'm of the belief Arum and Floyd will never meet a middle ground and unless Oscar and Schaefer helps out to keep negotiations peaceful, I don't think we'll ever get Floyd vs Pac personally.

Basically I think the fight isn't possible.

you see, the difference with me is that i could really care less about what floyd and arum said back in the day...i mean, you discredit everything he said about margo but now your using this as leverage :huh..the same man you say is full of ****....

anyways, what has cotto changed then...his style is exactly the same as before, and aside from the weight issue, what has he really changed....that whole green thing was more of an excuse, cause if anything, i remember the cotto hype at around 140 being more then what it is now.....

Same stuff were said before Tyson/Lewis and the complications there were FAR worse than this will ever be, two different networks having to deal together for the first time ever.

If you could care less about what Arum and Floyd say then who do you rely for your sources?, aren't those the guys that BRING the fights and make them possible?, "I want Mayweather to fight fighter A B C but I don't care". If you really don't care you won't be discussing and starting nonsense theories.

What has changed since then is Cotto found out he can't make 140 and was struggling badly there during his time to make weight, moved up to 147, tested his abilities there and found out it's where he belongs, became champion, lost the title and now coming back. His first major test even according to Arum was Shane Mosley, that was his first major test and one they advertised where if he wins he is 100% ready to charge into Mayweather after it. Of course you don't care what they say so all of this is nonsense and he should have fought Mosley, Margarito and Mayweather at 140 back when he had 13 fights.

why should i care what they say...i mean, if floyd saw a potential superstar in cotto, do you really think he would've waited until he got better to fight him
i remember cotto and bruseless were talked about as being the best prospects at 140 at the time, and floyd had no problem fighting henry...or a way passed it gatti :deal

besides, who are we to say when a fighters ready or not :huh, one knockdown at 140 dont take away everything cotto did there, or does it? even a green cotto is way better than anything floyd ever accomplished there...

and all this too green bull**** is just that, bull****....cause we know they will never meet in the ring...and you keep arguing about the future so that you wont sound out of bounds with the **** you say, but again i'll remind you that all floyd has done is let us down when he as promised us ****....

Your memory fails you again. Back when Floyd fought Bruseless Cotto was booked to fight Corley in his first major test with only 22 professional fights. So you're saying that you don't care what Mayweather says, what Arum and the entire Cotto team says. If Freddy Wak says Cotto is ready then he is 100% ready.

This is when I have to get off-topic for a split second and ask for age identification.

A green Cotto is better than everything Floyd did at 140?, doubt it man. Both Cotto and Mayweather accomplished the same thing there, Cotto didn't even clean out that division. All he did was win the title and fight a few contenders with Ricardo Torres being the best he fought. Only difference is that Cotto stayed there longer but in terms of accomplishments the difference isn't as big as you make it be. Both remain titlists in the division and nothing above or below.

All this green talk is not bull****, it's you being delusional and sticking to something any poster would tell you is a load of crap. You're just playing stubborn to prove a terrible point.

i didnt say accomplishment wise...i meant cotto is better than any name on floyds resume at 140...i truly believe if floyd would've asked for the cotto fight the same way he chased gatti or oscar, he would've gotten that fight....

cotto at 140 never got stopped...
cotto at 147 has gotten stopped... so please explain your logic to me about all this 140-147 mess that you seem to be hung up on with cotto.....

He asked for the fight, that's what I've been telling you. They asked BOTH Cotto and Hatton for a fight and were turned down by BOTH, the Cotto incident was confirmed LIVE on a live interview with BOTH Mayweather and Arum sitting alongside being interviewed on QUITE FRANKLY regarding the Judah fight, look it up already.

Cotto at 140 never got stopped because he didn't stay there long enough, his OWN ****ING TEAM admitted that he was bound to get KO'd sooner or later if he stayed there so they moved up because he had serious weight issues. The guy was rocked/hurt there by Torres/Abdullaev/Maussa/Corley, I'd hate to imagine what Mayweather would have done to him and I wouldn't have even considered it a fair fight seeing how new Cotto was and being a big fan of his since the amateurs.

    For me two reasons:

    One . . . I want to see Pac/JMM III

Two . . . I want to see how PBF would react to his first loss. I want him to be completely humilated and got OWNED by his own mouth again. And to see how his blind nutsuckers would defend their boii in losing to a smaller man.

I don't want to see Pac/JMM III especially at 140. I feel that it would not last 12 rounds.
