I have no source, I haven't read anything confirming this...this is just my opinion.

Are there any poster in here with an understanding of business. This is what I believe Arum is doing. With everything that has been said by Arum, from "The cut" to FMJ's prison time, to his boxing license, a new and monstrous stadium for the fight, "lets fight in late May then early June...blah blah blah". I get it....COMPLETELY. Manny Pacquiao is Bob Arum's CASH COW, HIS MEAL TICKET, MONEY MAKER, TOP HO, SHOWSTOPPER AND HEADLINER. And Arum has been cleverly using this Man for 2 years. How else do explain fights with Joshua Clottey (A fighter from Africa with NO name recognition) in a 100,000 seat venue like Dallas Cowboy Stadium and then Fighting a fighter suspended by the sport with NO BOXING LICENSE in the same ****ing venue? Sheer Genius really. Made Billions without risking his fighter and making him popular in the process...GENIUS!!!

Now that FMJ is back in FIGHT-MODE and wants a fight with Pacquiao, Arum is now backed into a corner. Before when FMJ was traveling and enjoying an extended vacation, Arum could put a countdown on his website about A MYTHICAL TIMELINE FOR A MYTHICAL FIGHT WITH NO NEGOTIATIONS and have the World fooled in the process...Again, Genius!
Now Arum is thinking..."Ok, Floyd wants to fight Manny now, how can I maximize Dollars, Earning potential and profit for this fight?" Arum knows that having his Meal-ticket and Cash Cow lose in May is ridiculous...there is still an entire 6 months or so remaining in the year. My guess is that Arum wants Pacquiao to fight a TR fighter (someone with a belt) in June keep the money in house and then PROMOTE THE HELL OUT OF A PACQUIAO VS MAYWEATHER FIGHT FOR NOVEMBER.

So expect to see and hear more excuses from Team Pacquiao. Hell it would not surprise me if Pacquiao showed up at a press conference with Crutches saying he twisted his ankle playing basketball...with help from Arum of course. So Pac vs May....IN NOVEMBER. Then everything will be back to normal when Floyd fights someone else May 5th and the ******* consensus will be....FMJ ducked Pacquiao.

Arum is never letting Pacquaio near Mayweather, he pulled him first time when it could have easily been signed and was probably the 1 who put the drug testing idea in Mayweather's head. He's the 1 who wouldn't take Golden Boy's call in December

The stadium is just another excuse/roadblock and wouldn't make much more money if any more money. 4 months is plenty of time to do anything to make this fight HUGE. Arum doesn't want it ever and maybe Pacquaio doesn't want it

Floyd is not fighting in Novemeber and if he was, it wouldn't be Pacquiao. This should be clear to Arum as well, although he's already started pretending that that is the proper month for the fight (thereby allowing him to act like it's Floyd's fault when it again doesn't happen).

If Arum has some master plan to make the promotional push of all promotional pushes for this fight, something I see little reason to believe anyway, it won't be taking place this year. He wants at least two more in-house cupcakes.

You got it about right i suppose , its a simple enough concept , Manny is Arum's biggest draw , when Manny fights TR make a lot of money , if / when Manny loses to Mayweather he loses his PPV appeal (somewhat) and will probably retire

Pacquiao is happy as long as he's making money and not being bothered by the nonesence of match making , for that you have to point a portion of the blame at Pacquiao (its a simple demand " get me Floyd or else ") , however , as long as Pacquiao has somebody credible standing in front of him , and he's being paid hansomely for it , he's not gonna kick up a stink with a man who's made him a lot of money

Then there's the hatred Arum has for Floyd , a) he doesnt want to see his beloved Manny Pacquiao lose to the guy and b) he doesnt want to make Mayweather very rich in the process

But yeah quite right , there has been an element of genius in Arum's craft over the last 2 years
