As appealing as this fight seems it has stupidity written all over it!

First off I cannot begin to understand what the great MAB is doing taking this fight against a prospect with a soft record of 19-1 who holds a world ranking out of the top 50, and agreeing to fight in the UK???

Khan's yet to hold a European title let alone a world title IMO he doesn't deserve to share a ring with MAB.

Freddie Roach is a great trainer, but as deluded as they come sometimes. I'm sure Khan looks unstoppable in sparring, But once Barrera connects it's lights out!

If MAB imposes him self, keeping Khan on the back which i'm sure he will. I see Khan's career coming to an end in three rounds.

To me this whole things a bit bizarre. :huh

Its not bizzare at all. It makes perfet sense for MAB. He has nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

If he wins, he has knocked out a young prospect and got himself into a world title contention.

If he loses, he was old anyway, it wouldn't damage his legacy at all and he is getting a good pay day.

must be good money warren's putting up. he probably sees khans fragility and thinks he can brush him aside before a fight with campbell. a loss at this point in time, really would'nt affect his greatness as well. if it does, then perhaps minimally. but this looks like a win-win deal for him.

Khan is big business in the UK, It'll be PPV, and be at a big arena, so there is a decent amount of money involved.

Spot on, he gets the pay day the publicity and he gets to be the man who puts the fnal nail in khans coffin, it will bring him bigger fights he cant jump straight back in at the top. if he loses to khan whats he lost? hes just an old shot fighter, its a much better fight for barrera than it is for khan.

Barrera shouldn't be fighting prospects! and a loss to Khan will not look good in time.
It's Khan getting the payday, What tickets/ppv does he sell in the US?

Money and a chance for a good win against a live opponent. Even though Khan has a soft chin he is still viewed in Europe as a big prospect.

Tickets aside, The only PPV revenue this is going to generate is from the UK and that's not alot of sales in comparison to US revenue for say MAB against any top 3 in the devision.

because its a very intriguing and money making matchup courtesy of Don King.

i highly doubt the golden fishnets wouldve pursued this one.
