I was interested in the odds on Bute v. Andrade and had a look on bet365.com and there were no odds for this fight, but plenty of other bigger or smaller fights were being run, before and after it. I tried the other main British bookies/sportsbooks and some had this fight listed on their schedule list, but they weren't offering odds on it. So I called bet365.com to ask them the odds and they said they had taken a trading decision not to offer odds on this fight. Seems strange; they were willing to offer odds on Bute v. Bika (where Bute was an unknown quantity) and on Bute v. Berrio (where either could have won by KO at any time), so why not Bute v. Andrade (where both fighters are fairly known quantities)? What could motivate such a trading decision?:think And has anyone found odds on this fight, anywhere in the world, "Big Sam down at the pool room" and his like excepted?
Usually, if they don't offer odds, it's because either they think a fix is in or the fight is especially prone to unusual betting patterns. I know there have been some irregularities with Romanian bettors lately (more with respect to tennis than with respect to boxing), so I can see where some books might make an executive decision not to post matches involving Romanian fighters.
Yeah, because everyone knows Davidenko is Romanian... ...are you saying Bute would take a dive against Andrade to help out his buddies in the Romanian mafia? atsch So I can bet on plenty of Romanian sports events at British bookies, including on tennis and on football (which IS fixed sometimes), etc., but not on Bute, who fights out of Canada, because Bute is more suspect than anyone else involved in Romanian sports/sports in Romania and more suspect than any other boxer in the world? :nut
I am interested in this fight also. Please, keep us updated as to anything you find & I will do the same here
