Why would Cotto lose to Clottey when he beat Mosely who is superior in every way?

every fighter gets cuaght with shots and sure it buzzez them why every time cotto gets cuaght with a shot its a big ****en deal

 

Styles make fights, Clottey is very very hard to hit with his tight defence and just seems to take rounds off people. The Mosley of the Cotto fight looked to get a lot more breathless then the Mosley of the Margo and he gave some rounds away because of this.

We also have to factor in that we don't know how the Margo loss will affect Cotto.

I think Cotto will win but British bookies have clottey at 6/1 to win on points...those odds are very tempting!!!

In terms of styles though I will agree with you here as I expect Clottey to get outboxed to a UD. Clottey lacks stamina and activity, to beat Cotto you need to put pressure on all the way, single punch stuff won't trouble him much and Clottey isn't even a good finisher. I won't be surprised if a body shot knocks out Clottey.

 

I wouldn't give a damn about that in this one, even when Cotto is buzzed he knows how to survive and even fire back. Clottey isn't a good finisher at all to take advantage of this if he scores it.

 

Are you serious:huh? Clottey came out of his fight with Margarito without a scratch on his face. Only his injured hand kept him from beating AM. Cotto is going to find out what it is like to fight another big WW. Clottey is totally NOT tailor made for Cotto.

Cotto is the better ring technition, and throws more punches, but his connect percentage will not be high in this fight. When that happens, anything can happen in a fight...ask Pavlik.
