    Other than to rehydrate himself:

    1. That IV mark was also used to bolus dextrose so he didn't have to eat 1-2 days before the weigh in.

    2. That IV mark was also used to infuse blood (blood doping).

    :yep

Yeah, I have social skills, my lively hood, and my family eating depends on my social skills.

But I just don't see what is interesting discussing a THEORY that has ALREADY been PROVEN to be not be possible. It's pointless after that point to even WASTE time discussing it.

As dumb as this is, this is the most logical explanation

talk about a plan that backfired. At least by doing that, he has a solid excuse for getting his ass whipped like a tomato can..

That theory would be reasonable if Pac wasn't on record saying that he expected to weigh 146. There is nothing that can account for him dropping 4 lbs between the hotel and the official scales, and registering 146 on a different scale post weigh-in, other than that the official scales were rigged.

Were HBO's scales also rigged? If Oscar was infact overweight the day before then are you saying that he dropped weight after the weigh-in or were HBO in on this ridiculous scheme?

Nah, HBO's scales weren't rigged--just the official scales. Oscar boiled off a couple more pounds after the official weigh-in so as to avoid paying the much publicized overweight penalty and then took the IV's after the unofficial weight was registered on Saturday.

    Consider the circumstantial evidence:

Fans that attended the weigh-in said there was a lengthy delay between the completion of the undercard weigh-ins and when DLH and Pac were weighed.

Pac is on record along with his trainers that he weighed 146 at the hotel and 146 on a different scale after the weigh-in. They stated that something was fishy, but didn't want to make a big deal of it.

Pac was jumping up 2 weight classes to meet Oscar. Why would the naturally smaller man who registered 148 unofficially the night of the fight diminish himself down to 142 to "make weight"?

Then consider DLH who was the big man coming down. Why would anyone coming down in weight shed more than the minimum necessary to make weight? It makes no sense that Oscar would burn off an extra two pounds when making 147 would've been a tall order in itself.

There is the known remark from Roach that he saw IV marks on Oscar's arm. If Oscar rehydrates properly, he wouldn't have needed to resort to what are essentially emergency measures.

Oscar would've gained more than two pounds overnight following a standard replenishing regimen after the weigh-in.

Oscar's performance during the fight also speaks volumes. The guy looked like he was fighting underwater. This certainly makes sense if he spent the previous night trying to cut more weight instead of resting and recovering after struggling to make a weight he hadn't seen in years.

Because you can never rehydrate a fighter who is not dehydrateD, OTHERWISE YOU KILL HIM!!!~

If Hoya was dehydrated, it would not even take 2 hours to rehydrate back but since he lost so much muscle, he can never rehydrate. YOu need to lose water in order to rehydrate.

    You're a ****ing tool!

:patsch  why would Oscar noil off a couple pounds AFTER the weigh in???!! Why not just boil them off before, when it's safer, easier, and just ****ing more practical??!! :patsch

What is lengthy?? And did they hide the scales during this period?? Did anyone have access to teh scales??? Wasn't there enough people around to see anyone working on rigging the scales??? It's not like he can press a button and wallah! They are rigged!! You're a ******! :nut :patsch

Yeah, you can buy a lot of FISH with an extra 1 million dollars penalty for every pound over..of course there was something fishy...:think:blood

I don't now you ****ing moron..why does he usually weigh less than his opponents and then rehdrate and weigh as much if not MORE than most of his opponents?? Why did he weigh in at 134 against diaz just 6 months before the Oscar fight when the limit was 135, in six months he went from 134 to 142 to 138 six months after that for Hatton who was supposedly bigger. :patsch 134, 142, 138 looks more reasonable than 134, 147, 138.

1 million dollars per pound would be a damn good incentive to make sure your as far away from 148 for anyone. Bad strategy on DLH.

Hydration is not just for weight gain, it's to get fluids running through your body again. Oscar can eat, but he needs IV too rehydrate.

Are you a doctor??? How do you know how long it taks to hydrate someone who is severely dehydrated.. Show me where someone who is severely dehydrated and hydrate to peak levels over night.

    Get a life dude. :nut

Oscar said his mistake was having 140 in his mind, he figured he would beat Pac, and already be real close to 140 for his next fight...

That is the explanation he gave, I kind of believe it.

I picked Oscar to win before the fight, but as soon as I saw him , I realized he was in no shape to be in a boxing ring, especially against the pound for pound king.

I heard somewhere that it was in the contract that Oscar wasn't allowed to rehydrate past 147lbs.

I don't know about that, but I do recall there were penalties for every pound over 147 at the fight weigh in. Pac was 148 fight night btw.
