    Help me understand this.

Alvarez is the most popular mexican fighters. Not to mention he has also crossed over well. He would add many ppv's to the May event.
Easily more than any other fighter they could get on the undercard.

Plus if Alvarez wins, your guaranteed a fight with him in September, the next big mexican holiday.

And IF Alvarez wins, there is no bigger fight out there in September than this.

    So whats the issue?

The fight will happen (According to Richard, who never lies)

Mayweather doesn't want to get binded down by a contract. Not just yet.

If Canelo ends up shitting the event against Trout, what then? Or what if he loses to Trout?

And yes, he is his own ****ing boss, deal with it. Stop crying.

1- doesn't want to commit to having to do anything beyond his next fight

2- doesn't want to fight at 154 again that soon

He's just not all that keen on jumping back up to 154. He knows that it's a bad weight for him.

And all along Mayweather never signed anything. What I said stands. It's pretty obvious. Mayweather always keeps his options open. If he struggles with Guerrero, he's likely to not fight for the rest of the year, let alone move back up to 154.

Ever see what happens to fighters who plan ahead when they already have fights?

    Many reasons why.

    1. Canelo ain't no one to demand anything. Canelo has never headlined a ppv and the trout fight probably won't be ppv either.

    2. Floyd may not want to commit to fighting at jmw if he struggles to get past Guerrero at WW.

    3. Floyd may want to leave his option open on his next opponent creates excitement anticipation.

    4. If Canelo looks **** and barely wins then everyone will say floyd fighting a green canelo. Wouldn't it be more impressive If Canelo wins big and then floyd agrees to fight him?

Agree, I never believed for a second he'd fight twice in 4 months. You'd have to be pretty gullible to believe that. He still may fight Canelo later, though if Canelo's really the goods (?) and he keeps letting it stew, his chances just keep going down.

    Damage control?

Floyd offered Canelo a fight two years ago, Canelo admitted turning it down saying he weren't ready

Canelo hasn't improved that much for floyd to **** his pants:patsch

The fact that you needed to create a thread to ask this shows how dumb you are.

Let me guess, not signing for multiple fights = ducking, right?
