He lost a 10rd decision. I just hope he is not burdened by some extreme doctor bills from when he jumped off the bridge when getting ready for Shane Cameron in New Zealand a few months back. You'd think he would still be recovering right now, but to actually be fighting so soon at that level is amazing.

Even though most of us don't really know the guy he just fought yesterday, its still a heavyweight thats 22-0 with 18KO's. Maybe I'll give his brother a call to see how he's doing.

I'm not saying that Davis was ever gonna be much to begin with but his career went into a freefall after he got stripped of his belt by the IBF. He lost to Jones and Cunningham and he said he fought USS with an injury. He got shafted against Shufford (draw), got stopped by you Ding, and then lost to Terry Smith in a fight in which he showed incredible heart just to get out of the first round. Now Smith is no puncher but he weighs over 200 lbs and was teeing off on Davis the whole night. Then came the accident in NZ. It's been a tough go for Davis and he's taken alot of punishment over the past couple years. His height does him no favors and he doesn't have the power that his compact frame suggests. I really like him as a fighter but I'd hate to see him end up in bad shape.

If it seems as though I'm suggesting he retire you're not far off cuz I'm suggesting that he strongly consider it.

damn, davis should not be at heavyweight, he wasnt even that great at cruiser. He is exciting though, and I appreciate his effort, (except against Cunningham, that fight was atrocious).

    That's incredulous news:shock:

Has he really recovered from his injuries?:huh

Something stinks here, I hope that Davis gets a plan, some more support, and try's to end up with something for afterwards.

Did he actually break his back like was first reported? Because that would be almost a miracle recovery. :huh

Damn that's way to soon to be getting back into the ring. The guy must have a lot of bills he's behind on. I wish him the best.

That was the last that was reported.Id be very surprised if he could ever come back let alone make a full recovery if he did break is Vetebrae. You have to give him props though. The kid had balls of iron and always put it on the line but his NOT a heavyweight. His barely even a cruiser.Plus his Mike Tyson impression is wearing a bit thin and id rather not see him take punishement again. If he does come back if at all it needs to be at 200lbs vs some non descript journeyman, not an unbeaten heavy.

Sounds like the fight was very competitive, i'm still surprised because I know his injuries were quite serious. However, I agree, he should stay at cruiser cause he can make the weight and is a pretty decent puncher. He is a bigger puncher than Tokarev, but definitely not as big a puncher as Nwodo.

Not at the moment, but I should know something within the next couple of weeks. It will be against a fighter that one of the sanctioning bodies will approve to fight me in an eliminator. Hopefully sooner than later.:-((

Maccarinelli should have offered Ding the fight.. If he has any self respect he should look at facing a credible fighter.. Bigtruck was a someone years ago.. Ding is coming into his own now.. Live oppo is what Enzo should be embracing.. God bless.

I don't know Ding. Davis lives in my hometown and I saw him some months back still in a neckbrace and everything. I said whats up to him but never thought he would be fighting so soon. Let alone an undefeated guy.
