While I think Floyd is the greatest of THIS era, I really don't see him hanging with too many person's at 160. A win for him at 160 would be like rjj's win at heavyweight. He simply found the right fighter at that weight for his style.

Floyd can probably win the 160 belt from Sergio. However, as a Floyd fan, I have to scratch my head at those who think he could beat Kelly Pavlik.

I am not saying it is impossible but I just don't see Floyd lasting the distance against Pavlik.

Go look at the past COTY winners. Most of the time it goes to some coach whose team was did much better than expected before the year started. The last 4 COTY winners prior to this year have been fired from the team with which they won the award. So they're not even giving the award to good coaches.

It's sad that boxing fans actually feel this way. The whole p4p thing started in order to determine which fighter would fare the best on a H2H basis. Even when you throw in accomplishments, Pacquiao is barely ahead of Mayweather.

I don't think I ever answered the TS question...of course Floyd is the logical choice. But logical choice winning doesn't always pan out that way, does it? Just ask those 16-0 New England Patriots.

Floyd is simply being slight with his tongue. Roger and Floyd sr. study tapes and gameplans for Floyd. While Floyd 'claims' he doesn't watch tapes, he always speaks about gameplans for different fighters. Where do you thinks he gets these gameplans from.

Because he's the better fighter, and more people believe that to be true and would wager as such, hence odds makers would entice them to wager on Pacman by offering greater return in order to balance the total amount being wagered and maximize profits.

I think Top Rank and Freddie Roach have made an awesome work with Pac. Top Rank are marketing geniuses and Freddie just knows how to pick the best fights at the most convinient moment for Pac. IMO, they are only taking the fight with Floyd because they have nothing else to lose. Pac has already stated that his next fight is his last, win or lose he'll make alot of money and go into history with all his hype and fans. They know they are the underdogs against Floyd not just because of what boxing fans think, but because they know that Floyd is the most difficult fight for Pac.

Floyd's physical advantages over PAC is one factor why he's the favorite.

I'm almost 100% certain that Mayweather would be the betting favorite over Pavlik at 160. Read this excerpt from Richard Dwyer's book, How to bet on Boxing-go to page 8- He details Pavilik's deficiencies and outlines why Mayweather would probably beat him.

Was'n't Floyd the favorite over ODLH. Now if you substitute Pac's stats with ODLH's stats I am sure the difference will be the same

    ODLH

    Reach ?
Highest Weigh-In 160 for his Middleweight fight.
    Highest Division- Middleweight I think
    Height ?

I can't think of Oscars reach and Height right now.

Yet Floyd was still the favourite based on skills.

That's another factor. Right there coming from your mouth.

Floyd was the favorite against Hoya. PAC was the heavy underdog against Hoya.

So who you think is the favorite when Floyd fights PAC?
