Thats kinda true but wasn't it the jab that gave mayweather most of his problems and that he was smaller like arm length where pac has neither?

The last time I checked there is no 144 pound weight class. You know Floyd couldn't make the imaginary weight class because??????

Firstly, great thread with productive debate and opinions instead of flame throwing.

Anyway, IMO Mayweather's style and ability to adj-ust his game plan to make things easy if he so chooses is the difference and reason why he is almost impossible to bet against. Pacquiao possibly represents an anomaly to this theory because of his speed and unique skill set.

I see Mayweather using a similar gameplan to Mosley in this fight; moving around the center of the ring and boxing, using his jab, reach and footwork and trying to bully and beat Manny to the punch. Due to his physical advantages, I don't see him potshotting and running as many are expecting him to do. Gameplan is risky though because of Pacquiao's speed and deadly left hand, which is sure to rock Floyd at some point during the fight.

Floyd should be a slight favorite IMO (-150) due to his boxing ability and physical advantages with Manny at around +125 since he has two ways he can win - capitalizing on a deadly left or enough consistent pressure over 12 rounds to a close decision.

DLH looked like a bag of **** in that fight. Oscar and Pac have close to nothing in common style wise. Do you thing Oscar was even punching closed fisted in that fight? Has Pac ever thrown with an open fist in any fight? Your line of thinking is pretty ****ed here. ODLH did not lay out a "blueprint" to beat Mayweather in a one sided loss. You need to hit the rest button and start over.

How can anybody deny these physical advantages? :patsch
Reverse Pac and Floyd's body while retaining the same fighting style and strength, I don't see anybody picking Floyd.

It all comes down to Defense. While Mayweather will rarely be hit cleanly, Pac will become busted up by the 9th or 10th round. Mayweather should win a UD by 2 points; sweeping the Championship rounds. But I will be pulling for Pac the whole time!

I think Arguello is the best I've ever seen at hooking off the jab. Who do you think is the best all time and the best currently at doing this?
